My votes this week came down to msun641, Madding, and Sam111111. Moving On was definitely my favorite piece. I loved the playful diction and the way it was positioned within the work, and I felt all the words served the final idea quite well without endlessly meandering. Loathsome Vassal was great at painting its imagery, and had quite the ferocious humor about itself lurking beneath all else. Some of the lines rambled beyond their need I felt, notably the "dreamt-up vampire" sequence, but it doesn't harm the piece severely, which is otherwise very enjoyable. We're not friends has a fun rhythm to it, and though the story is intentionly vague, it still delivers a visible enough depiction of the action. I swayed toward Madding's work because his ideas and the way they were presented latched onto me, but it could have gone either way.
