I liked Sam1111's poems, but this week it came down to Urbanus and SpiralBrain for me. Keeping with my tradition of only casting one vote, I went with SpiralBrain. That poem really drew me in. I enjoyed the Urbanus poem almost as much, but the line about killing babies felt over the top to me, even if it would seem to fit into the style of my recent poetry.

I felt oddly subdued this week.

my mouth is full of winsome lies -
and eyes are full of death besides
but luckily the soul is wise -
it sees beyond my blindness and
forced failure makes a better guise,
so as i come again alive,
it feels like life's a decent plan

Good luck.
Voted for "Roots," didn't much care for most of the other entries. (The Dog made me laugh, but it took a while to set up for the punch-line)

That totally explains the "3 hours of brutal mayhem," bit. I still can't help but think it's about gay sex.
