32-Day Month-Hunter, year Avatsin 719 th
I know that it was necessary, I know that this is what I would like to Pitre. Off with his head - the only way to prevent the conversion, and there was no way to verify it or not bitten. But his blood is now forever in my arms, and only gives me Avatsin purification.
For this reason, and for many others, I pray you take me in your humble order. For me, there are no more sense to stay here in Geyvoni.
With faith in Avatsin, your sister,
Lorelei
which is basically the same message as the english one but comes from a different account named DayNight.
the twitter account linked to in that russian e-mail has closer pics of the cards in that video, and you can read all the names.
Grimoire of the Dead
Falkenrath Marauders
Evil Twin
and a 1W double-faced card
The white card is "Cloistered Youth", which is also the card based off a white unglued card as hinted (little girl). However, this information was spoiled a week ago

and the different account along with the date? at the top of the second one.
While it is interesting to know that Avacyn has (likely) been around for 719 years, Lorelei's story is much more compelling to me. I want to see if she eventually becomes a card or a prominent character in the story, so the more important part to me is that the name of the girl in the English letter is Jorelda instead of Lorelei...
I wonder what Pitre was bitten by, a werewolf or a vampire? Do werewolves on Innistrad change humans by biting them?

As far as i know, specially based on old movies, Vampires are the ones killed by cutting their head off (alongside wooden stakes). Werewolves are usually killed by Silver Bullets. But i cannot forget Zombies are around...and they bite alot, and cutting their head off, works on the old enviroment too.
Now let's look at the flavor of the block
- The province of Gavony is where humanity remains safest and strongest. It is home to Thraben, largest city in the known world, which houses the mighty Cathedral of Avacyn. Gavony is more plagued by the undead than other provinces, and geists are more common as well.
- Innistrad's vast, wooded hinterland is called Kessig, a province in a state of perpetual autumn and plagued by werewolves.
- Vampires control the province of Stensia, which covers the darkest and most mountainous parts of the plane.
She is in Gavony asking permission to join Avacyn. Gavony is plagued with undead, so my bet is that Pitre was bitten by a zombie, and he is somewhat linked to Lorelei/Jorelda (awkward name), brother maybe? She seems to be a hunter, trying to join the order.
Just sparked me that we might face some kind of abomination, like the Underworld movie, a half-breed, 1/2 vampire - 1/2 werewolf dual-faced card, if not right away on Innistrad, maybe throughout the block.

Wasn't that just speculation? I recall nothing confirming the un card was little girl...
I think that Clositered Youth might transform into a Demon. Maybe she was inspired by the Exorcist? I don't know if there's any evidence of her being possessed or me just thinking it would be cooler that way.

is it just me or are the kinda generic names i.e. civilized scholar / untamed brute and cloistered youth kinda annoying? would have preferred a little more specialization in the names and abilities. give us a legend nay a commander with two faces!!

The demons of Innistrad are beings made purely from mana, I really don't think that a human would be able to ascend to demonhood here.
If you read up on the name "Lorelei", besides being one of the main characters from Gilmore Girls, it's the name of a large stone on the Rhine River in Switzerland(?) that has caused many boat wrecks. There's been a couple fictional stories written around the early 1800's that make Lorelei into a siren of sorts, luring mariners to their deaths. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lorelei

That is the thing I like the most of these cards, the generic naming. it really gives the townsfolk feel without fitting it into an isolated picture
Also of note, Pitre is referenced in the same letter as Lorelei. He's a "dumb" thatcher and some farmer is spreading rumors that he and Lorelei are in love.

Response is as follows:
Dearest Lorelei,
You will not understand why I am leaving, which is why I have left in the night, this letter being my only explanation.
The awful truth is that I have not earned the town's accolades. The vampire I killed was just a whelp who I caught unawares while he was feeding on the chickens.
He didn't even see me, and that's how I was able to take his head off with my spade. I do not think he ever knew what happened!
When I took the head to the mayor, I was set on telling him the truth. Once he saw the fangs poking out from the horrid thing's mouth, he started a big fuss, and before I knew it, he dragged me out into the square and announced my supposed victory to all.
I've been caught up in all this mess, and living with the truth has driven me to near madness. I'm going to Erdwald in Nephalia to find a real vampire, and kill it. I cannot live with myself, nor marry you, until I have fulfilled the destiny that has been attributed to me.

So it seems it's a vampire that Pitre was bitten by. Also it seems Innistrad isn't a really huge plane. A thatcher can make it from Gavony to Nephalia in 10 days or less, and probably without horses (a thatcher wouldn't have the coin for that I'd guess)

Often, the stories take place in only a small part of the plane. Ravnica is a world-city, but the entire story took place in a much smaller "main city," with the ten districts, guild halls, etc.

I don't like Mythics much either, but realize that petitioning for their removal on a third-party forum is about as effective as eating soup with steak knife.

That doesn't mean that the plane is small, just that the settlements are close together. There could be lots of unsettled wild.

This is the list from the Innistrad visual spoiler on MagicTheGathering.com. Notice that Josh Brauer is listed as the official spoiler of Travel Preparations. I am guessing this puts the nail in the coffin on the debate of whether the video is from WotC or not. Only official spoilers are put on the visual page.

clearly human not a spirit as once predicted.
i think this is our woman seeking the monastery who might be a black vampire in alternative form or maybe a werewolf... for some reason I think flip to black is more fitting.
