Funny thing - the

in the cost of Parallel Lives took a while to load for me, so I thought it cost

... and still regarded it as too gimmicky to work in a competitive environment. Actually costing four times as much doesn't do it any wonders.

I'm sure it will be a fine casual card, though.

Does noone remember the card "Ivory Mask"? And how awesome it was?

We now have a colourless superior version with the added bonus of destroying a very narrow set of cards...

Parallel lives is half a Doubling Season, but that's still good. My Ghave deck rejoices, as it has with most of the set. The rest of the cards are rather unexciting.

They don't. That card is easy to deal with compared to Leyline of Sanctity. It doesn't come out before the game starts and it's an artifact so Manic Vandal and company can come out.

And so Doubling Season returns to Standard once again! Because... well... sometimes thirteen 2/2 zombie tokens just aren't enough. You really need twenty six of them to get the job done right

A colorless leyline. It does not only crush burn. Also crush discard cards for example.

Yup not putting it in Ghave really was a huge hint it will never ever see a reprint, likely because it allows instant ultimates on planeswalkers.

Apart from the obligatory Parallel lives will be played in EDH, this set is so lackluster.
Im sticking by my original asessment that it's all about snapcaster mage. So I think the tagline for Innistrad should be Tiago and the Timmies.

Great set for flavour and casual cards that will likely see EDH play but no real innovation and then there's those nightmare double sided cards.
I don't think the sky is falling but I do think this set so far is pretty hit or miss, it's like Kamigawa 2, I'm sure it will have it's fans but it's certainly no Ravnica.

doesn´t it only work with "effects". Not sure if that spell counts as an effect. I immediately thought elspeth tirel there though
