Default [DIS] A Few Incomplete Cards (Update/More cards post 199)

I received word of a few incomplete cards through an anonymous source, and although we haven't been able to completely verify them, the cards seem interesting enough to post. These cards are therefore not comfirmed.

Some wordings and mana costs may not be exact, although converted mana costs probably are.

Creature - Rat 4/4 rare
At the beginning of your upkeep, you may search your library for a Rat card and put it into your hand. If you do, shuffle your library.



Creature - 0/4 rare
: this gets +1/-1 until end of turn
: this deals damage equal to its power to target creature.

Cytoplast Manipulator

Creature - Human Wizard Mutant rare
Graft 2
, : Gain control of target creature with a +1/+1 counter on it as long as Cytoplast Manipulator remains in play.

Rakdos Guildmage -
Creature - ? 2/2
: put a 2/1 red Goblin creature token with haste into play. sacrifice it at end of turn.
: target opponent discards a card. target creature gets -2/-2 until end of turn.

Hydro's edit: according to many posters, and a tidbit of info I had from weeks ago, the Rakdos guildmage's ability requires you to discard a card as part of the activation, not your opponent.

A rare split card - unknown mana costs
One half - Put target artifact on the bottom of its owner's library.

Other half - Search target player's library for a card and remove it from the game. You gain life equal to its converted mana cost.

The guildmage is insane x_x...it makes tokens that are strictly better than vitu-ghazi albeit EOT, but can be powerful blockers. Wow, just wow.

This second card you mentioned seems a lot like this one from avto's thread:

I doubt the rakdos guildmage has the discard part of the black ability, considering that that is what the dimir guildmage does.

WOW. That is nice. Goblin making is gravy.

The search and remove half of the split looks nice, depending on mana cost.

That Rakdos guildmage would have to say 3B, Discard a card: Target creature gets -2/-2 until EoT...there's no way it's 3B to force someone to discard AND -2/-2. Besides, this meshes with Hellbent anyway.

The rat seems terrible... 6 mana for a 4/4 with no evasion...and a not so good ability...how many rats are there you'd want? (in block I mean)

that pumper/damage dealer kinda goes with the card Avto had in his thread. -- not bad for casual, but a bit mana needy(black mana that is) for anything else. hope is uncommon not rare.

Graft creature is great. Better be the vedalken shackles type "tap and hold" thing like you said, else it's too good. Especially with Kraj. Very nice creature.
but my question... why does IT have graft? seems like it doesnt need it, better to save the slot of graft for some creature that uses it's +1/+1 counters.
Unless, it gets added a rule like : "remove +1/+1 counter from ~" along with it's current info. ---- though then, it'd better be common>uncommon.

Rakdos guildmage: red ability is nice. but black seems wrong. TWO abilities for one price! unless you discard a card, and a target creature gets -2/-2, that way it's a "drawback" ouside of rakdos deck, but in it, it helps hellbent.

And the rare split .... ugh, I dont like it. Infact I think it's terrible. Artifact only! in this block!? bottom library only!? -- but the other side isn't too bad....mabye.

Yeah, I bet it is the same card as in Avto's thread.

I don't know how good the stealer will be outside of limited, because you have to find a way to put a +1/+1 counter on their creature, but the Rakdos Guildmage is incredible. Especially the black ability.

Also, I'm beginning to think that Rats will be a Rakdos tribe. Otherwise it would be rather random to put that card in, and they would be horrible in Limited.

Woohoo, thanks, sneaky!

The Simic shackleman is looking awesome.

The Rakdos GM...well...if it is real, I am inclined to say that it would be VERY powerful. Almost tieing with Azorius and Selesnya. But I am almost sure that it is you who should discard in the second ability. It would work well with hellbent and make more sense, now it is too good.

The rare split has to be a enemy pair. From the abilities, I can only estimate.../?

If the Radkos guildmage is as printed, it is infinitely more powerful than any of the others. 3B to deny a person's draw step and permanent removal? Impossible.

Oh wow, what a coincidence. This morning I was tossing a deck together based on some weird combo I noticed, the problem I ran into was the fact that I needed to give tokens I was creating haste in order to trigger the combo, so giving them haste was pretty painful and ended up making the deck bad. Giving me a token that has haste already solves the problem entirely! Thanks, WoTC!
