Vote for the poem you feel is the best. Remember to adhere to the "Honor Code" when voting.
While it is understood there is no absolute means to monitor the intent of a vote, we ask each PRC participant to exercise integrity when voting out of respect for the contest:
- Please give each poetry submission an equal opportunity in attaining your vote.
- Please read, or at least skim, all the entries before voting.
- Please do not vote for your friends just because they're your friends.
The Poetry Running Contest puts good faith in its participants to act in an honorable manner.
Contestants, remember, you are required to vote (and you can't vote for yourself)! This policy is to help keep the PRC active.
Good luck!
**Interested, new participants should submit their poems here.
Kpaca, should you find yourself on the northshore, we should chill. Thus you get my vote.
The others are of course very nice. Im very impressed with jon Milton's criticism poem; but paradise lost pales in its depiction of the lucifer when compared to mark twains.
Still, few write of my city and its pride and hardships, and that makes it really special to me.
I voted for **** John Milton as it was the only poem that suited my mood when I read these.
Honorable Mention was Kpaca's poem, as it was the best rap I've seen on here.

I feel like making fun of people is only worth it when the person is either blind to it or just so hateful that you don't give a crap, and eh.
Also, knee jerk responses are always bad. (/justification for writing a September 11th poem for next week. God that poem is long.)
I will vote later probably, even though I don't have to. But I haven't had a time where I can read things.

my mouth is full of winsome lies -
and eyes are full of death besides
but luckily the soul is wise -
it sees beyond my blindness and
forced failure makes a better guise,
so as i come again alive,
it feels like life's a decent plan
I did feel as though "Clowndump Mcfatcat" as a name sort of rolls off of the tongue. However, and this is from someone who only caught the end of the whole debacle, I figured it was better to just move past it.

Fact remains the doomsday clock is morbid as hell. Thanks. What's an iron hill? You mean like that blind guardian song, when time stands still?
