Let's say I have an Ink-Treader Nephilim on the battlefield, and my opponent controls a couple of creatures. I play a Electrolyze targeting the Nephilim. Could I divide the damage from the copies to different targets? I'm presuming since the Nephilim says that the copy has to target that creature, I HAVE to divide at least one damage to said creature.
You cannot. The copies are put on the stack with the same number of targets as the original spell. You cannot choose to redivide the damage for the copies. So if you want the Nephilim to make the copies, then the Nephilim must be the only target for the Electrolyze, and then each copy will also only have one target.
