But it can only enchant forests. so that makes it more balanced. Unlike Fertile Ground which goes on any land.

Does any one else of a problem with the wording on Spell Snare?
target spell with converted mana cost 2? Shouldn't it be converted mana cost of 2? or am I nitpicking.
I can't wait for the ickspitter!

You're definitely nitpicking. And wrong. Of is overused. Most of the time it's not needed. Like, "Go jump off of a roof" doesn't need it. It should be "Go jump off a roof." Anyway, I'm really liking/hating this card. It's new and good, but going to be nasty to play against.

Nope, that's the standard templating for spells that refer to a card's converted mana cost. See: Culling Sun or Liquify. Back in the day it was worded "with total casting cost equal to X" but we're talking Tempest era for that.

As for whether it's grammatically correct or not, I can't speak to that It gets the point across so that's good enough for me!

A bunch of these are really just filler, but a few are just beautiful. The spider, for one. Graft 2 for 1G, making it better than Bears automatically. Then it comes with a tacked-on ability. The ability isn't that flashy, but it's better than nothing, and that card is just awesome.

The rats are pretty tech, too. Reminds me of Blazing Specter, or course. A very good thing.

Oh, and, nice find.

Umm...

No it's not. Freewind Equenaut is white. Wind Drake is blue. That's like saying that any of the countless white 2/2's for W1 is strictly better than any of the countless red 2/2's for R1 that have a drawback. White is better at making weenies than red (or blue for that matter).

Strictly better = same exact casting cost but more/better abilities.

Yes, but how big a difference is being white vs being blue? There really isn't much, besides cases like Crusade. Even in the case of bein the same cost/power/touhgness, creature types make a small difference, as do names. So yeah, it's pretty much strictly better.

They should have just worded Spell Snare as "Eat target Watchwolf." Because its only their to kill Zoo.

A big difference. For example, if you're not running any sources of white mana, wind drake is strictly better than the equenant.

A strictly better card is a no-brainer over the card it is better than. Wild Mongrel is strictly better than Grizzley Bears. You'd never run the bears over the mongrel. You would run the Wind Drake over the Equanant when you are playing blue and not white.

Strictly better has a meaning, and using it across colors is incorrect.

Zoo, Confidant, Jitte, Hand of Honor/Cruelty, Koala, Tallowisp, Remand, Mana Leak etc etc etc

Not so good against Heartbeat or GW Aggro, but it's more than useful elsewhere.
