Esper Reanimator Gifts (more than one reanimation target is good) wins, while Shamans (it's baaaaack! Oh, how I missed it!), UR Storm, Melira Pod, another Esper Reanimator Gifts (discard-heavy), Red Affinity, Counter-Cat Zoo (the new cat is Loam Lion), and a rather control-heavy Exarch Twin (Consecrated Sphinx? Sea Gate Oracle?!? At least Splinter Twin has more targets, but I'd rather play Fae Twin) get close.
UR Storm (a conventional enough list) wins, while Melira Pod, Death and Taxes, Shamans, Exarch Twin, Combo Elves (whaddya mean, no Emrakul?), and a rather unconventional UR Storm list (now with more artifacts, Locket of Yesterdays, and Thirst for Knowledge!) get close.
Here's the new, constantly updating post-Dec. 20 bans Modern Daily Analysis! Now without pilots with 2+ appearances, as there will be far too many of them by the time the next set of bans rolls around.

In case I didn't tell you, I don't care about your opinion I just want your facts. And not the facts that make you seem smart. I want the ones that are actual facts.
Seeing Cruel control is just plain awesome. The only card that might need to be banned right now is Punishing Fire. Other than that the Meta seems to be evolving nicely.

Based on what? A single deck out of the 10 in those tournament results used Punishing Grove. And it went 3-1. Hardly seems broken or dominating to me. Worlds results give a similar impression.
Hopefully these results will start opening a lot of people's eyes and close a lot of people's mouths.

QFT- I am just glad some started firing...
Looks like the one yesterday was won by Jund. That deck is brutal.
hopefully we get some bigger events. 4 list that are 4-0/3-1 is a really small sample size.

+1
It's no more degenerate than Haakon + Nameless Inversion.

If they where to ban something this would be the card that makes the most sense. I'm fine with the format as is. Then again I liked it before the last bans as well.
There are a group of "writers", I refuse to call these people experts, that want the card gone. To me it would only open up the meta to more Fae decks. Nobody wants that.

Punishing Fire is.... let's not talk about that here. No banning talk; this is the happiness page! Dailies fired and I can't wait to go play some!
and Ravengm- Haakon is not a land. It's a creature that has to be played from your graveyard. Combo's cool but not as powerful/ easy to set up.
I know of at least two that have fired off in the past week, just from peeking in the Scheduled Events room, the latest one being 3165977, 12/15 10AM PST start.
The first two new Modern Dailies seem a little lonely, though--kaOz.Zeh 4-0'd the first one and 3-1'd the other. (At least there are no other repeats.)

They were the first that the clan and I were able to fire...
Jund wins, Esper Teachings, Living End, and Esper Reanimator Gifts get close, and there's an interesting absolute pile of cards involving Delver of Secrets, Angel's Grace, and Pact of the Titan in there.
Jund wins again (different pilot), Affinity still lives, Hive Mind may be on its last legs but it can still compete, some guy sticks Grim Lavamancer in a Pyromancer Ascension deck, UW Tempo-Control gets in again, and Martyr Proc with Ghostly Prison in the sideboard also gets in.

how anyone dumb enough to stick a lavamancer in a ascension deck can do good bewilders me. Kinda makes you wonder what jank he played against?

I like that UW list, doesn't look particularly strong though. Needs more Elspeth IMO.
I don't think any of these list are quite optimal. Maybe in Jan the competition level of these will increase.

Wow that Pact of the Titan list really is just a pile. I can see it winning games, though. Hilarious enough.
It took me 10 mins to even understand the deck lol. I though it was a hivemind deck. It does seem bad though.

Bant Aggro wins (love Geist of Saint Traft and Elspeth--9 in the air on Turn 4 is a beating--but can't understand the Shining Shoal), Jund, Esper Teachings, and Yasooka BGRu Gifts get close (we really should start a Yasooka/Nakamura Gifts thread in the Gifts subforum), and the prize for most interesting deck goes to Ad Nauseam-Angel's Grace.
Jund wins yet again (strong sad brings home the bacon again), BG Tarmorack Discard gets close (no Smallpox), kaOz.zeh adjusts his/her Counter-Cat Zoo deck and now has Lightning Angel and Geist of Saint Traft, a bizarre Burn deck with Shrapnel Blast and Jinxed Choker(!?!) shows up, and an even stranger Mono-Red Storm deck gets there.
MTGO Academy is so poor at naming decks--it called a Melira Pod deck "Dark Bant" once, and now it calls both the Mono-Red Storm deck and the Shrapnel Blast Burn deck "Mono-Red". Can't they read the dang deck lists?
its to save their creatures from burn when they are tapped out. You can only have one Elspeth or Geist out at a time anyway so it gives extra copies an additional use.

Don't forget that Overdrive! and Eurodrive! can provide nice gauntlets for deck testing!

Nobody wants that.

and Ravengm- Haakon is not a land. It's a creature that has to be played from your graveyard. Combo's cool but not as powerful/ easy to set up.

They were the first that the clan and I were able to fire...
Now people are playing it a bit more...

I don't think any of these list are quite optimal. Maybe in Jan the competition level of these will increase.

Thanks to Gabgabdevo for the awesome sig image!
I'm always looking for foil Madcap Skills and Ghitu Fire-Eater, [trade thread link forthcoming]

Pitch Geist to Shining Shoal is a removal spell for Nacatl. That's really all I can think of.
