I'm not a fan of infinite combos in EDH and neither is my playgroup. We're also not fans of mass LD. Here is a list of cards that would be in the deck if I wanted every EDH game to end in the same way: Goblin Settler - Recurring basic land destruction makes for unfun games. Thornbite Staff - Auto-infinite with a sac outlet. Umbral Mantle - I'm on the fence about this one but I'd have to take out Priest of Urabrask, Emrakul's Hatcher, Skirk Prospector, and Ashnod's Altar to remove all possibilities of infinite combos. Ruination - I have a friend with an all colorless deck or else this might be passable. Blood Moon/ Magus of the Moon - I don't really like cards that don't allow a player to play the game. Lightning Crafter - Auto-infinite with a sac outlet. Breath of Fury - Infinite combat phases. Changeling Berserker - I prefer Goblin Bombardment and can't play both due to combo possibilities. Sundering Titan - This is basically armageddon.
If he doesn't want Goblin Settlers, somehow I doubt the titan will make it. BTW I've got to get me some goblin settler goodness, I had no idea this card exsisted.
How's about Koth of the Hammer? He seems pretty good in mono-red to me. Also, Bogardan Hellkite needs to find it's way in here.
@NOISIA ~ Yeah Sundering Titan is in what I like to call the "mean" version as well as the combo pieces and other "unfun" cards. I need to add him to the exclusions. I bought all the pieces one at a time and got the Gauntlet of Might for Xmas. I'm a nerd.
I had to cut a 6-drop and Triskelion felt like the worst one and I try to limit the number of 7+ drops. Also, Memory Jar is in the list and recurring Mindslaver is probably just as bad as mass land destruction. I know where you guys are coming from but my playgroup has been playing together for a while and they have certain things to which they're opposed.
Are there any suggestions for card draw besides Sword of Fire and Ice that I don't have?
Dragon Mage is one I've used to effect in my deck.
Yeah I ordered one but I don't know that I like having to hit with him. I'm going to test him and see if he's better than Knollspine Dragon but I like being able to always do it once.

@superpositioned ~ Yeah Goblin Settlers is a beating and that fact that it's a goblin just makes it about 100x better thanks to Goblin Matron and Goblin Recruiter. Also, Bogardan Hellkite is in I just misspelled him...

Shattering Pulse/Trash for Treasure -----> Faithless Looting
Bloodshot Cyclops -----> Triskelion
I think Triskelion gets the nod because he's an artifact that helps Goblin Welder and I think I'd rather cut Shattering Pulse as I already have a lot of Manic Vandals.
Is Faithless Looting worth it?
