Going into this decklist I knew that I was going to have a lot of focus on my commander here. He is a very important part of this deck's plan as he produces huge number of tokens and can turn into huge mana quickly. Unfortunately things like Arrest / Faith's Fetters / Lignify / Pacifism are going to be my bane for this deck but hopefully I can sac my way out of them and keep moving. I might have to burn my own commander off on occasion so I made sure to have some decent sac outlets and some sizable burn in my list.
I have a few ways to spin this list off:
1) Beat face in with my commander until everyone dies.
2) Use the tokens I make to swarm people. I have a lot of effects that work off of a mass swarm tactic to run people over.
I like a lot of the more sublte things that you can do with this list. For example:
Say I just hit an opponent with my commander and spawned 5 eldrazi.
Pay one mana to equip Sylvok Lifestaff onto a token. Now sacrifice the token for a mana and gain 3 life. Use that mana to attach the lifestaff to the next token, sacrifice it for a mana and gain 3 life. I can chain this down along my tokens for only the startup cost of a single mana whooo. It also equips to my commander as he swings in to be on additional token produced. I like that little sub option with the tokens to chain it down.
Then of course we have tons of other fun things like attacking with a horde of tokens with Raid Bombardment to shoot in the face. Then we can Dogpile them for a second big hit or mass pump them with a Path of Anger's Flame. Really this deck is built to multi purpose use these tokens that the commander is producing to do all sorts of things.
Run into a problem? Sac the tokens for mana and chain out a big Rolling Thunder and continue beating face.
I do really like a lot of the interactions that this sort of commander can do. The power to generate huge number of tokens just by turning sideways is amazing. I cant believe how many stupid amazing auras there are in red for pauper. This deck does sort of rely on its commander a lot which does suck but man it just has so many different things it can do it looks like a blast to run.
EDIT: Just realized I still have Goblin Bushwhacker in here... I think he will get cut as I figured a single +1/+0 pump effect was not enough for inclusion in this list... I will have to go back and figure out what the next best card that I cut out of the list was.
EDIT 2:Goblin War Drums might also not be good enough for inclusion now that I look at it... Generally speaking I dont want my commander to be double blocked and by the time I swarm with eldrazi it doesn't really matter... I think it will also get the cut.
EDIT 3:Spikeshot Goblin came in for Goblin Bushwhacker. I should have picked up the spikeshot on my first pass through but I sort of realized I was going to want some pingers a little later in the development. I cant have things like Gideon's Lawkeeper and other such tappers keeping my commander down so a strong pinger presence came into the deck. I like the spikeshot as it gives me things to do with my extra mana such as moving equipment onto him for a big damage unload / reusable bolt style of creature.
EDIT 4: Swapping Darksteel Pendant in for Gobling War Drums. A deck like this isn't going to have much of anything for card draw so I have to manipulate things to get pickup CA / draw where I can and passing up on land once I get going will be a good way to manipulate the deck.
