After the somewhat failure of my previous pauper deck [Grixis Affinity], I have gone straight to work to brew up another idea. I stumbled across Gelectrode in a random gatherer search and was inspired to bring the pain 'ping' style to my next pauper deck.
Game plan is simple - Flood the board with pinging creatures and slowly whittle everyone down. I'm not sure if I have another win condition and I like it. It packs plenty of draw, counter and burn effects to fuel gelectrode's need for instants and sorceries.
I need you help in a few areas. I need to know if I have missed any obvious inclusions, or have included things which wont work. I also need suggestions for other good synergystic creatures that don't ping (maybe they untap or something). Any help is appreciated on any subject.
He can't use anything but commons, since it is pauper.
I think you might want at least one more land, Wayfarer's Bauble, and maybe Ur-Golem's Eye or Sisay's Ring. Mana Geyser is also fantastic in any deck that can use it. Lava dart seems a bit weak and might be worth removing for it.
[CARD]
Ingot Chewer[/CARD] and Seal of Fire would be potentially good inclusions to embrace the red side a bit more and move away from cantrips (like Serum Visions) and gain actual card advantage. Gush should also be fantastic card draw over some you have.
I also play Weiss Schwarz, Chaos, Vanguard and Wixoss.
Weiss Schwarz Sets
Accel World, Angel Beats, Familiar of Zero, Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet, Guilty Crown, Kill La Kill, Robotics;Notes, Sword Art Online.
Chaos Partners
Arpeggio of Blue Steel: Iona, Kirishima, Kongou.
Dangan Ronpa: Asahina, Togami.
Freezing: Vibration: Chiffon, Satelizer.
Vanguard Clans Favoured
Angel Feather, Dark Irregulars, Genesis, Neonecter, Pale Moon, Shadow Paladins, Tachikaze.
Wow, some really good suggestions there. I'll go through and make some changes.
In reference to Lava Dart, the only reason I included it was for it's synergy with my commander. It's potential 5 damage to one target when you:
1. Ping with Gelectrode
2. Dart something, untap
3. Ping with Gelectrode
4. Sac Mountain, Dart something, untap
5. Ping
I just thought that 1 red for potential 5 dmg was worth it. We'll see how it comes across in some matches.
I haven't included Cinder Pyromancer simply because he can only target creatures. I believe all of my pingers need to be able to hit threats and players to earn their stripes. I may have to reconsider this though as he does seem powerful in the situation I have outlined above.
Cards that need to be included from suggestions:
1 land
Jilt
Gush
Arc Lightning
Kiln Fiend
Wayferer's Bauble
Potential Cuts for these cards:
Sea Gate Oracle - Good card, but possibly does not serve too much of a function here.
Goblin Medics - I was originally going to include pinging enchantments such as arcane teachings but without those, this guys power level drops. May still include them later
Serum Visions - Gush is better
Incinerate - Arc Lightning is better in multiplayer. Nice card
The other two I will have to think on for a while. Thanks for the suggestions so far and keep them coming!
I've come to my senses - Cinder pyromancer is Good. Will cut Chainflinger For him.

Take a peek at my Izzet list found in my sig for some ideas. While they operate a little differently a lot of the concepts are similar. You might find some things you might like to try.
Meteor Shower might be interesting as well. I have considered it a few times myself but with as many pingers as you have I don't know if the ability to split it will be as important.
Generally speaking that is more for a playgroup to determine on. I went with ya why not on that question personally. I guess it comes down to if someone gets pissy about it or not.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.
since you already play trinket mage i think the best card to turn non pingers into pingers is viridian longbow just because most of your creatures are small and are likely to die to removal and the long bow will still be there for the next one afterwards

“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.“
Wee Dragonauts at the helm would be so much fun, playing all cantrip instant/sorcery spells. I do like the pinger theme. With only 12 non pingers is Quicksilver Dagger not worth it? It just fits the theme so well, ping and card advantage!
Have you considered Cerulean Wisps or Crimson Wisps? Both cantrip and allow Gelectrode to ping more. They could possibly be replacements for the 1 for 1 damage/flash back burn spells you have.
I also play Weiss Schwarz, Chaos, Vanguard and Wixoss.

Quicksilver Dagger is one that I have been agonising over. The ping-Draw Effect does seem powerful; I'm just afraid that whatever creature that has the enchantment will be 'kill on sight' for every other player, setting me back considerably for the cost. I'll try and playtest with it and see how it goes.
I also play Weiss Schwarz, Chaos, Vanguard and Wixoss.

Thanks for that mate, thought dismiss was at common level.
Might run rewind or that other one you suggested.
I'm looking forward to picking up the new common just spoiled with flashback which is red draw - looks sexy. It's sad how i'm looking through the Dark ascension list with the sole purpose of finding cards good for pauper...

Rewind is good too, it is an unconditional hard counter too.
It's not sad at all to be looking at the commons, Innistrad is quite a powerful block and the commons can be fantastic, especially with the value you get from Flashback being in the set. Faithless Looting does look pretty sweet, I can't wait until more are spoiled.
I also play Weiss Schwarz, Chaos, Vanguard and Wixoss.

i played a pinger deck for a while in just a 60-card casual multiplayer table. It is surprisingly effective.
Most people won't want to blow a good removal spell on something like a Tim. He's just too small and has too little impact. Except when you have 4 or 5 out. Then that single good removal spell ... well, isn't so good anymore.
And in pauper, there really aren't too many sweepers, so that's a plus on your side.

Chandra's Spitfire is also cool with pingers, since every ping raises its power. Same for creatures with Bloodthirst like Gorehorn Minotaurs and Blood Ogre.
Add one Gorgon Flail to make pingers an actual threat. And maybe one Thornbite Staff, since you've got quite a few shamans there.
Pauper: UR some horrible homebrew izzet deck
