I'm glad a couple people have liked my piece. I was in a pretty dark place last week and that's what spat forth. I'll get to reading through everyone's soon.
I wasn't feeling the influence this week.
I voted for LuckNorris for the same reason Kpaca did. Other than that I felt all of the poems were okay. Not a great week, not the worst week.

I actually liked this week. I can relate pretty well to the general theme of feeling a sense of decay, and idolatry. I guess I'll go with Talore and Madding, but I loved Blippy's and Kpaca's. Lucknorris' was pretty good too, just wasn't feeling it though.
I wonder what put people off of my piece, as it is a bit similar in nature as Allergies and previous poems that have been favoured. I suspect it may be that a lot of the poem has to do with another poem that most are likely to not have read. I think in the future, I'll quote a work if I'm responding to one in poetry.
The cadence was kind of off tbh. I liked how poignant the words were, but it didn't have the same black-hole like flow of Allergies, if you get what I mean.
Here are the entries we have this week:
Written after reading Wordsworth by Talore
"Am I brave..." by Madding
"Haiku of" The forgotten ones by Macius
The Downward Spiral by BlippyTheSlug
Barbed Wire by kpaca
A Number 15 Victory by LuckNorris
Here in the sticks by DarkwaterElemental
