Battle of Wits
I know this is a bit of long shot, but any card that can instantly win the game on it's own deserves a look.
I was thinking it would be good in an Esper or BUG control deck with a bunch of tutors.
Here's a legacy list from a StarCityGames tournament a couple months back that made it to the Top 32: http://www.wizards.com/magic/magazine/article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/deck/703
This list could be converted to modern relatively easily.
Too slow to be good if you're not Jon Finkel. But it could be fun anyway. Your ideal line of play is turn 2 Signet/ramp spell, turn 3 tutor (Brainspoil, Idyllic Tutor, or Diabolic Tutor), turn 4 Battle, and you get a decent B-game as a WUB control deck with too many cards.

When you peer long enough through the depths, the depths peer also through you.
Idyllic Tutor and 4 of the one cost discards, some counters and draw, maybe beseech the queen or diabolic tutor? Removal, wraths, draw. Gifts, unburial rites combo as alternative win con, idk seems OK.
I brewed up an Esper list with 250 cards that mashes together U/W Tron, Gifts Combo, and U/B Teachings and uses Battle of Witts as a backup plan. It may be too slow for the current meta but it honestly looks like a ton of fun to play. Let me know what you think!

With Idylic Tutor, I'd get a bunch of Transmute 3 cards to go along with any 5's. (do those exist?)

Out of the blackness and stench of the engulfing swamp emerged a shimmering figure. Only the splattered armor and ichor-stained sword hinted at the unfathomable evil the knight had just laid waste.
Hell no.
You win at beginning of upkeep = opponent gets 1 turn to wipe it off the field.
It costs 5 mana and does nothing when it ETB.
200+ cards = too many 0-, 1-, 6- or 7-landers. Commander has to implement partial Paris mulligans, how do you think you'll fare with a deck twice as big and using regular mulligans?
And that Legacy decklist: WTF? It's Zoo with Battle of Wits, not Battle of Wits with tutors. 60-card Zoo is way better than 246-card Zoo + 4 Battle of Wits. That guy is just showing off how many $10+ rares he has.
Lol. I would love to see the ticket price for that deck.
But honestly you need dimir house guard. Setting up a turn 4 sweeper is important. Also I'm fairly sure you can find a few cards to drop to fit them in. Also tutors for gifts. Not to bad.
Needs the white command. Helps in the mirror match. Lmao. But No, it's good if you can tutor for 4 sweepers with your gifts.
Needs doomblades and throat. Again logic is after you stabilized you could gifts for 4 removals. Throat, blade, path, smother, or death if smother would not get it done. I know focusing on one set of cards in a 250 card deck is probably not the best plan, but it looks to be wise to make every card as strong as possible.
