I like Goblins. And let's be honest...who doesn't? So, I built a Goblin EDH, with Wort as the captain at the helm. And so, I present to you, my Wort, Boggart Auntie deck. Why the Auntie and not the Raidmother? Because I wanted to go Goblin Tribal and I figured that the Auntie supports that idea better then the Raidmother, also there are a few interesting Mono-B goblins around that the Raidmother doesn't have access to. So, here it is, Wort.
Sidenote: While this deck is built for Multiplayer, it can work in single player as well. It will need a few adjustments for the French rules, but given its aggressive nature, it should work quite well in that format.
As one can easily see, most of the goblins are hand-picked for either their ability to tutor up something, decrease the cost of other goblins, produce tokens or other buffs. There are a few small exceptions to this rule, but they are relatively rare. There are only four creatures that aren't goblins, Moggcatcher is in for its ability to tutor up a goblin. Not as good as Goblin Matron, but since it is reusable, it is far from bad. Solemn Simulacrum is just too good to ignore, and Red/Black can use the card draw, as minimal as it may be. Finally Taurean Mauler is strictly spoken not a Goblin but he counts as one, and he hits hard as can be. Oh and then there is Patron of the Akki, who can be gamebreaking with that +2/+0 ability of his, making the tiniest of Goblins suddenly a bit scary on his own.
The Mana Package:
A lot here has been made in such a way that I can profit from the huge amounts that can be generated by Black Market, who loves the constantly dying Goblins on the field. The Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth + Cabal Coffers combo is well-known as well. Often enough opponents drop down Urborg already, so all I need to do is say Thank You and drop my own. I did consider adding in Phyrexian Tower since hey, might as well ditch a goblin that Wort can pull back, but I'm indecisive about that. The two Gauntlets generally only focus on Red, to make full use of the boons Black gives in paying the grey costs.
Planeswalking: Chandra Ablaze is here for her -2 ability. This deck is highly able to simply ditch its hand on the field for low mana, so some hand refueling (Alongside Wheel of Fortune and Wheel of Fate) is highly desired. Her +1 can push through for some final damage, if I am out of mana she can ditch something that Wort can pull back, or just something that is of lesser use for the time being. Koth of the Hammer is a good planeswalker and generally at least gives me an extra mana each turn...but he doesn't really do much more usually. As such I am considering to swap him out for Sarkhan the Mad, who not only can provide some additional drawpower, he can also turn my Goblin tokens into Dragon tokens. Not saying Koth is bad but...I'm not sure he's pulling his weight. And on that note, Koth is officially out for Sarkhan. Sarkhan just allows for a few more cute tricks and isn't as big a target due to this not being a Dragon deck (Making his Ultimate quite useless), yet he pulls his weight well, usually getting two activations off before dying.
I could use any suggestion thrown my way. This deck is an online build, an offline build would have a cheaper manabase and might cut on some of the most expensive goblins, but the general idea will always be the same.
CHANGES MADE SO FAR:
- Goblin Assault
+ Shared Animosity
- Koth of the Hammer
- Rakdos Guildmage
+ Sarkhan the Mad
+ Skirk Prospector
Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.
Pir & Toothy - Counterpalooza.
Arcades, the Strategist - Another Brick in the Wall.
Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.
Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
- Shared Animosity is obscenely strong in an aggressive tribal deck. It's Coat of Arms for almost half the cost. This maybe does more than Koth, and definitely does more than Goblin Assault.
- I had Bushwhacker in for a while but switched him out for Goblin Wardriver; better long-term effect.
- Skirk Prospector is possibly better than Brightstone Ritual, if you want an easier time assembling the Kiki-Jiki/Lightning Crafter combo.
- I got a lot of gas/disruption out of Sensation Gorger. With such a low curve, if the Gorger sticks you can typically cast 3-4 of the cards you draw while your opponents are only able to manage 1-2 - or nothing at all, if you land it early while they're still putting together their value engines/manabase.
Shinka and Shizo are both political cards as well as boosting your own general... I can't tell you how many times I've given an opponent's general fear after attacks have been declared or first strike after blockers
Hmm, I must've missed Animosity. Yeah, that one's going in for the Assault.
I like Bushwacker because he can come out to play and immediately give Haste - it is quite possible to recover from a boardwipe and use him to grant me an instant victory. I'll give Wardriver a spin though.
As for the Prospector, I'm not too fond of constantly saccing my own Goblins mostly because there are enough times that they don't swarm as much as I want them to. Though the Kiki combo is fun, yeah...I'm just not sure if the off chance of performing that combo is common enough for it.
Sensation Gorger is fun yeah, I should find a spot in it.
Thanks for the feedback on Shinka and Shizo Crona, much appreciated.

My Commander decks:
Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.
Pir & Toothy - Counterpalooza.
Arcades, the Strategist - Another Brick in the Wall.
Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.
Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
Right, I've added the Prospector in.
I'm not sure about the Ingot-Relic, though both are considered.
The 1-damage-pingers just don't kill enough IMO given the fact that I don't have ways to give deathtouch like Death pits of Rath around here, so I'm iffy about including those.
The Talisman gives more instant mana...only on T2. Otherwise, the Signet is just better, and given how frail this deck can be, I'd rather not take more damage then strictly required.
Are there any specific ways one would go about to make the Sharpshooter and Thornbite Staff worth more then just pinging a bit?

Our build runs it and even if you don't get out a pinger, it goes well on Wort against decks that have problems blocking her.

Well the Thornbite Staff is amazing with Kiki as he allows you to untap and get multiple uses out of Kiki.
For example you can have a Sharpshooter in play with Kiki all staffed up along with Prospector. You tap Kiki to create a copy of anything (Redcap, Solemn or Siege-Gang are great choices) , ping something with the Sharpshooter, Sac the copy to Prospector, which untaps Kiki and Sharpshooter - allowing you to kill everything/everyone, create an arbitrarily large amount of red mana and laugh like a goblin.
Or using the Staff on Lightning Crafter, is fine by itself, allowing you to deal 3 damage- kill something, get a free untap, Ping 3 something else, pay to untap, Ping 3 a second time to the same creature to kill, getting a free untap and then just go to face.
The Staff with Kiki, creates some interesting combos, again using Skirk Prospector if you have Crafter, Outrage Shaman or Sharpshooter in play, you can create a copy of either with Kiki, use ping or damage, sac it to Prospector, getting free untaps of Kiki each time looping over and over.
Remember that if you create a copy of Lightning Crafter with Kiki you can move the staff over to it automatically with the auto-equip.
I could go on and on, but the Staff is relatively potent, not sure it fully fits but it can work well.

Goblin Prospector absolutely belongs. I would say he's a top 10 goblin, including a sac outlet.
I would go with Darksteel Ingot over Coalition Relic, it seems that the durability should be better then the occasional extra mana.
Thornbite Staff does some ridiculous things with cards like Kiki, Mad Auntie and Lightning Crafter, looks like you have 7+ shamans.
Talisman of Indulgence over Rakdos Signet because it can produce a bit more mana when cast? Gives you a bit of speed in return for a bit of damage?
I'm not sure about the Ingot-Relic, though both are considered.
The 1-damage-pingers just don't kill enough IMO given the fact that I don't have ways to give deathtouch like Death pits of Rath around here, so I'm iffy about including those.
The Talisman gives more instant mana...only on T2. Otherwise, the Signet is just better, and given how frail this deck can be, I'd rather not take more damage then strictly required.
