The meta seems VERY favorable for our multi-format all star, what kinds of decks do you think she would work in best that are good enough for the Modern meta? GW Maverick? Zoo? Junk?
I run her as a one of in Melira pod. Very strong against a lot of decks. After playing with her, I can't say that she is going to breathe life into any decks or anything, but in existing decks she can even out some poor match ups pretty well.
Works really well against most blue decks for sure, considering if they don't have some sort of removal or bounce spell they have to pay an extra mana for their card draw or whatever they do. Definitely helps against tokens, too. You have to put it in aggro based decks though. Zoo would probably benefit from it the most, especially as a sideboard option, as well as a few other decks like maybe tribal knights or other aggro decks that use white. Also, maybe melira pod to make setting up the combo a bit easier. Otherwise, it just doesn't really fit in any other deck since most other top tier decks either run on the support of spells or run on spells entirely. Even the boros variant of RDW employs several important spells, which you wouldn't want to pay extra for in most cases.
Honestly, I hate this card though. As if creatures weren't powerful enough: here's a creature that makes playing anything besides a creature even less appealing.
Zoo could have played Teeg at any point, I dont see what thalia adds to zoo that teeg didn't.
Gaddock Teeg prevents Wraths (which are largely unplayed in modern except maybe 1-3 in tron) Gifts, Cryptic, and a few combo cards.
Thalia does a similar role except she also slows down cards like Lingering Souls, Lightning Bolt, Mana Leak, Spell Snare, and just about any deck that is based off being "efficient". Thalia will even give a lot of problems to decks like Aggro Loam, making the loam/raven's crime "combo" really inefficient, not to mention increasing the cost of cards like faithless looting, loam, seismic assault, etc.
The difference between isn't even close. Gaddock Teeg hoses a few cards. Thalia swings the game's tempo incredibly far while also hosing the same cards you want Teeg to be hosing. Thalia may be a bit more of a "soft" card than Teeg, but Thalia is relevant in just about every matchup, and has first strike which makes her slightly relevant in combat as well.
Thalia also plays defense pretty well too. There is only 1 creature in Jund she won't block and live against (that being goyf).

Granted, Jund also plays Grim Lavamancer, and Thalia can block Lavamancer all day, but old Grim fries Thalia to death for 1 mana at night. (I guess that's what Eiganjo Castle is for, though, right?)
Thalia is amazing, and is further evidence that creatures with utility are getting better and more prevalent. Some are not happy about it, but utility creatures are some of my favorite in the whole game.
With Thalia I tend to see her removed often enough, that in my creature heavy decks that really want to control I have taken to running three and a single Thorn of Amethyst.
I don't think Thalia has a solid home yet. She's fine in Zoo, but it's definitely not great in it. I think she'll find a deck she's awesome in eventually, and that she's a really good card.
I ran the playset of Thalia this past weekend in Boros, and she was absolutely stellar. I built around her by running 4 Figure of Destiny, 3 Grim Lavamancer, and 3 Ranger of Eos in addition to the usual Landfall Dorks, and I was very happy with the list. I only ran 12 spells, and rarely did I pay an extra mana for anything, as she was frequently killed. One U/W/R Delver opponent managed to kill 3 of them in one game.
Being able to Level up Figure, Shock with 'Mancer, Tutor with Ranger, and swing through nearly any ground pounding X/2's while my opponents lost a turn and dug for answers was a great feeling.
Thalia singlehandedly swings the Storm matchup from bad to great in game 1, and Firewalker locked it up for me in Game 2 scenarios. I haven't played against Tron, Melira, or Jund, but I would imagine she's great vs. Tron and at least decent against the other two. She's definitely going to see more play in Modern's future. I really can't say enough about how good she is.

Are you serious?
Think about Teeg vs. Delver - They don't care
then think about Thalia vs. Delver - very good

I chose to use Gatekeeper and Thalia in a Doran Rock build.

Now to me there is always a home for a superb card such as this. Heck she sees play in Vintage.
Maybe pair her with Hokori, Dust Drinker
