"The wilds were everyone's mother, once. Now many of her children have turned their backs on her.
They think they know better than nature, that they can find some greater truth. Nature is that greater truth; they need to be taught that once again."
If you're running Dryad Arbor playing Green Suns Zenith is tech.
Apart from that your deck needs better strategy. Now it's just ramp and tokens and in competitive environment this accomplishes practicaly nothing.
Just my 0.02$
I know, but Exploration is what, $20?
I know, which is why I want to get it back in the deck.
Well, I guess it's good I don't play in a super competitive, dead by turn 4 environment, isn't it?
Thanks for checking out my list, as always.
But having said that ^, your post made me feel all warm and squishy inside with its compassion. Truly. You pointed out a couple of obvious things and bashed the deck, truly a great way to start off my day. Thanks.
it kind of looks like you want to play elves. And if you want to just dump elves on the table why not do that? There are plenty of mono green elves that you could use as a general, and if you want to expand your colors you could go U/G, G/B, or even B/U/G.
With that being said, the amount of elves you have I think warrants using heritage druid

Elves and fat, but yeah. I don't like any of the current elves though. I seem to be incapable of playing dude generals, Kaysa isn't effective, Glissa 1's art is just off by a hair, Glissa 2 deals with artifacts too much to be elven, Maralen has the combo reputation and cuts me off from the green elves, and Mayael deals with fat not elves.
Radha and Savra are options, but I just can't figure out a decent way to build Radha right now, and, I just dunno. I'm working on a custom mono-g elf chick though...
Heritage Druid could make it in, but I feel that Seton might just be the better card. I'm not sure how many elves are gonna end up being in here, and pretty much all of my non-fat creatures are druids.
The two most common Mono-G generals that I play are my own Seton list and a friends veery combo version of Azusa, to give an idea of where my play experience is coming from.
Your options seem to be Mana ramp -> Fat, Mana Ramp -> Token Swarm/Overruns, or Mana Ramp -> Combo win. Your list looks geared towards the first two. For that gameplan I'd probably stick to the best effects for the things you are trying to do. For example, you have 14 creatures that put lands directly onto the battlefield or tap for mana in addition to 9 spells that ramp lands onto the field. Twenty-Three rampers (not counting cards that put lands to your hand) might be a bit much and you could realistically trim some of the weaker ones to fit in the bombs/draw you wish to cast with all that mana. The biggest weakness that I've felt playing Green Ramp is balancing all that ramp with stuff to do with your mana. Often I've ended up ramping up to having ridiculous mana counts on turn 4 or 5 with nothing to cast and everyone is gunning for me because of my mana advantage.
If a majority of your dudes are Druids (24-26ish), perhaps Seton as the general would be a good place to start? Makes your mana elves tap for mana the turn they hit for pseudo-haste, gives you the ability to make the turn 1 elf, turn 2 seton, turn 3 prime time play which can set you so far ahead it's not even funny.
MTGSupreme: I just said that I seem incapable of playing dude generals, pay attention lol. I don't know how I feel about combo yet either...and I also have yet to be interested in a Blue or part Blue deck.

To begin with, thanks for the input, I appreciate it :).
What would be a good number of ramp dudes/spells, you think? Also, the custom general I'm working on also falls into this category, so that might factor into your answer. (I would think that the Llanowar Elves type creatures should be included, 'cause of the whole T2 3 mana thing etc)
I suppose I could try out Seton if I don't figure out the custom general fast enough. Thanks for the luck, I definitely luck traded into my Survival of the Fittest and I'm hoping I can trade my buddy for his Primeval Titan :D.

For mono green, unless you want to go with the Azusa combo deck I would recommend Omnath, Locus of Mana. He's a very powerful general, and very straight-forward strategically and does quite well even on a budget. Just play him, make him enormous, buff him, protect him and stomp people for 21 general damage per swing.

Chancellor of the Tangle really dosen't do anything for you; there are better beaters. Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger would be better in his place
Unless you got a lot of Druids Senton wont do much. Moldgraf Monstrosity is another one I would cut, he just seems Meh to me. Just my 2 cents.
Chancellor: Need some flying defense, right? Also another method of fast mana, for eg a T1 Nature's Lore. /shrug
Vorinclex: Maybe. He does seem to get a lot of hate though. The one dude I know who pulled one won't trade him though, so he might not be an option.
Um, damn near every mana dude in the deck is a druid, lol.
/Shrug. I'll just have to see on MM.

There are better cards that protect against flyers than Chancellor, Steel Hellkite is one of them, and he is great in a ramp strategy. You can also just T1 forest, GSZ for Dryad Arbor to ramp too. If you're specifically looking to deal with flyers, get a Predator, Flagship and start machine gunning their creatures; its great in ramp, and gets even better with mana doublers and Seedborn Muse or Icy Manipulator.
Vorinclex is a card that I see a TON of people want to play and attempt to play, but if you're playing in a multiplayer environment, he paints a massive target on your forehead whenever you play him. If the players at the table are competent, they'll kill him and then you in short order. If you're using him for a mana doubler, then just play Caged Sun and Mana Reflection, cheaper and slightly less alienating to your opponents.
Moldgraf Monstrosity is the nuts, Wrath? Cool, I'll get 3 guys from my yard. Birthing Pod? 1 way ticket to valuetown! He's good, and he is something that has to be dealt with otherwise you can find a way to abuse him.

True, and I do have some Steel Hellkites laying around. It's just that I'm a bit of a Vorthos (flavor/theme of a deck, etc) so having a bunch of elves worshipping a mechanical dragon is a little wonky, lol. That's just something I'll have to reconcile with myself over. Quite aware of the GSZ into Dryad Arbor strategy, I want to get GSZ back in the deck for that reason.
Precisely what I'm thinking on Vorin and MM.
I might check out your list; I have a decent idea of what I want the deck to be, I just need to trim it and test stuff, though. Thanks for the continued input.
Sanity's_Eclipse: I'm very very sorry for sounding cruel, it was not my intention. I know Exploration is kinda expensive, but since you posted here and not in budget subforum I assumed it wouldn't be a problem. Also, you didn't specify what is your meta, so I assumed it's somewhat competitive. Had I known you play kitchen table commander, I'd just suggest going with Kamahl as your commander and kept quiet.
Anyways I wish you all the best with your deck
No worries, I hope my post wasn't too cruelly sarcastic.
My lists aren't really budget; I don't mind getting $10, $15 cards, it's just that I can't make $50 orders every month, ya know? It's a spread out budget.
My meta isn't competitive, but it's not totally casual either, I would say. /shrug.
And for like the third time, I have problems playing dude commanders. I don't what it is, I just do. Learn to read, y'all lol.
My meta plays a lot of graveyard hate. MM is average at best.
Sanity's eclipse what style do you like to play? IE aggro, midrange, control etc.
Never mind.
im gonna make a wacky suggestion if you like female generals and want something from the path less traveled Mirri, Cat Warrior i play a mono black mirri the cursed deck and its awesome i use 3 of the swords and some other ool euips to make it more tron style but if you want to run a thrun style deck in STYLE check out mirri not the power of azusa but style points for a 5th or 6th deck for you

Yeah, MM ain't exactly cool if you're constantly staring down grave hate.
Um, pretty much my favorite deck (idea) is that of Jund; BBE into Blightning, just having awesome creatures and spells to both hack away and to control the board with.

For the purposes of land animation, Kamahl is just better. I can only think that you'd animate in response to a wrath, and so paying mana versus discarding for an irrelevant size boost seems bad. Plus she's a human, and I hate humanity lol. (Plus the elves usually hate humanity too)
Remember that D-bag high school friend of mine? He also played a snake deck, same problem, so I hate snakes in MTG too XD.
Eladamri's a dude...
I seriously, sincerely apologize from the bottom of my heart to everyone for being such a pain the ass about the general. I literally have looked through all the mono-g generals several times, and none of them leap out at me.
Actually you missunderstand, Joreal is used when you get wrathed so you can swing with your lands next turn and smash face in, not to kill someone elses lands, though that is a good idea.
