I recently got rid of my green aggro one drops to support ramp and midrange more for green. One card that came in mind while doing this was the Master. What do you think about him?
He was a solid dude for us. Nothing special, but not bad. If he gets free reign of the board for awhile, he can really get out of hand, but he typically died before doing anything particularly absurd most of the time.
I'm a huge fan, I like him more than a lot of commonly run green four drops (Blastoderm, Chameleon Colossus, and Vengevine). His impact on a game is so high if he survives even two turns.
Now a reason to take my analysis with a grain of salt, I value consistency much lower than most people on the forum, hence my love of miracle, and werewolves.
He's a risk vs reward kind of card. He's not going to provide a lot of value from the get-go, but the longer he stays in play, the more problematic he becomes. Obviously he's better if you run other wolfs or wolf-token producing cards.
I'm never quite sure about the card. It dies a lot, that I know. It wins games when not answered quickly, though. I should probably bring it back over Phantom Centaur.
@takiguy That's why I run both in my powered 360, but it's not really a direct comparison as while both make wolf tokens the fightesque ability is very, very strong. Also having both in one deck is a fun combo.
The fight ability is very relevant and it doesn't take any input from you to make the tokens. I think both are good cards but mtwh is better because the fight ability is more relavent than the transform imo.
This card or Phantom Centaur -- Which do you prefer? I was thinking about trying this guy out again in his place because I'm trying to boost the token/anthem theme and it'll play better with some newer cards I'm considering adding in like Opposition. Thoughts?

From your cube I think I would cut Thornling. He plays more like a 6cc creature but isn't terribly exciting as a reanimator target (not that he's bad of course). With only 4 4cc creatures I think your cube has room for 1 more. If not Thornling then I would cut a non-creature spell which could be Berserk, a 3cc ramp spell or Bramblecrush.
Thornling is great, but his spot is better served by a 4cc guy (IMO) or a better 6 or 7cc guy.
I really like Master of the Wild Hunt and I actually think I'd play him over stuff like Phantom Centaur in general. I like token makers and if he's not answered, he's so much more powerful than Phantom Centaur. I'm all for exciting powerful cards over consistent boring options.
I do run Phantom Centaur over the Master currently, but I've been looking at the Master again for a while. I would cut Thornling before Phantom Centaur, but it's not really a like for like swap.
@ Donald: We just added in Thornling because we noticed his absence. He's a great creature, and I (we) like it more than the other 6+cc options we're not using. We just added Berserk to test it out. I don't want to cut it already. None of the 3cc ramp is cuttable, and neither is Bramblecrush. And we have more than enough good 4cc permanents in the cube for one color to be "light" on them with 4.
So the question is: Phantom Centaur or Master of the Wild Hunt.

If that's what it boils down to I think I'm going to switch my vote from Konfusius' thread to Master of the Wild Hunt. Thinking about it more you already know how good Phantom Centaur is so why not go with a trial card? Worst case you can switch back and best case you have a 4 drop that works better for you.
EDIT: And great point on it being ok to be light on 4cc creatures at green, I will probably look to cut cards in that area next time I do an update.

These token makers are great with Opposition. I had Mayor and Garruk, Primal Hunter out making tokens with an opposition. It got out of hand quickly.
I run it and still like it quite a bit. It can run away with the game if it goes unchecked, and it gives green some creature removal, which is always welcome in that color.
Effectively what Wtwlf said. He's a target, and will usually draw kill spells, but if they leave him on the table a few turns, he can take over the game.

Draft it on Cubetutor!
Master makes the tokens automatically and can still tap to attack/fight.

I may have to try this out for a while.

Very fragile and dies to every removal spell but it does give green a form of removal and seems like it could snowball well when accelerated out.
