Ok, I've been looking at Goblin Lore for awhile and always put it off because I didn't have a Portal2 copy available. I recently came by a copy and am trying to reevaluate it. I'm always a bit circumspect of random discard, but it digs really deep, and I personally also support madness/thresh, which hypothetically gives it a bit more power.
How good is this card in general?
Is it worth it in the presence of a thresh and madness subtheme?
Just got to say, you've definitely earned distinction as an MTGS hero

Because he's the hero MTGS deserves, and the one it needs right now. So we'll global him. Because he can take it. Because he's not just our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. An expired rascal.

ExpiredRascals you sir are a god-like hero.

ER is a masterful god who cannot be beaten in any endeavour.
It'd only be remotely worth it with an overpowering presence of thresh/madness in red (which is impossible as it stands). It gives card parity with unreliable change in card quality. I'd certainly rather run that Avacyn Restored card which discards your hand then draws two as Madness or threshold support and is playable in aggro and gives you some value.
It is an interesting effect, which is extremely volatile and depends highly on your deck coughing up the percentages you want.
If it generated card advantage, I would say it had a lot more potential, but as it stands, it is difficult to justify, especially at sorcery speed. I probably wouldn't include it even in the largest of cubes.
