Need a good name people!
***[currently being edited to encompass different color splash options and creature choices/pros and cons]***
its pretty straight forward really. lay a bunch of cheap beaters/mana dorks til you hit Miss Sublime, and then swing. silverblade pally and ajani both give double strike when needed, and the most fun play is to drop a fungal sprouting on your second main phase after your exalted angel has attacked and gotten bigger, getting a ton of 1/1 saps with exalted, further pumping your next swing.
my current versions: g/w Garden Grove, b/w Sublime blade and g/w Sublime Defiance
Glad I found this thread! I agree, Sublime Angel is amazingly powerful, and Rancor is fantastic, too! Both of these cards in general go well with first strike, so green/white is a great way to go.
The other problem with having 8 mana dorks was that they all needed green mana. If the deck is built around 8 mana dorks you need to have green mana early, and often I would have to mull any draw that didn't have green mana sources. Also there are a lot of cards in this deck that require WW, and I found it difficult to have the right balance of green and white. So once I removed the mana dorks I kicked out Strangleroot Geist, as GG was difficult early in the game.
To rectify the susceptibility to sweepers I removed some creatures and put in Ajani, Caller of the Pride. I don't like having more than 3-4 creatures out at a time, and Ajani can break through a logjam with the -3 ability.
The other ways I rectified the sweeper problem was putting in 4 Gavony Township. This way you can either pump creatures beyond sweepers, or at least have them attack for more. Four may be too many now that I've removed the mana dorks, though.
Nearheath Pilgrim I find just so useful against Delver, I find that anything that prolongs the game seems to give Delver fits.
I originally had Restoration Angel in as well, when I had in Borderland Ranger, but it's a quicker kill to put in Mirran Crusader. When I removed Borderland I had few targets for Restoration, though she may still be good just to protect our creatures.
I generally only worry about red sweepers, there are 8 cards in the deck with protection from black, and an additional 6 cards with first strike, so black decks especially zombies have difficulty.
To add to my previous post, I know it is quite a lot of mana to use but you could consider Feed the Pack then sac the beefed up exalted creature for a LOT of wolf tokens (which would then have exalted if you had Sublime Archangel out).
Thanks, yeah, it seems pretty good so far. Sigarda is of course great! Sublime is really really good, an metamorph bumps her number up to 6. Aven squire with silverblade palladin is actually a good early play, especially when you can follow up with sublime.
As for feed/pack, i agree, its too slow to be competitive. I like the idea for a kitchen table game, but otherwise, fungal sprouting does that job much more effectively, without losing a body.
As for hexproof, sigarda has that, but im not sure what else could fit. Thrun of course, i have 2 of him. But that 4slot is pretty busy. Any ideas? Maybe just apostle's blessing?
Running pretty smoothly, im wondering if i should addangelic destiny... Maybe some control, or board wipes? Come to think, thragtusk(!!!) is a good add-on. The life gain, then token? Seems great!
Angelic Destiny seems like a really odd enchantment to throw in, it's certainly good on a creature but it seems like the buffs from exalted would already be more than enough to strike a good hit.
Have you considered Safe Passage/Fog or Oblivion Ring?
Also definitely add Thragtusk or two, it's a pain to see it come to play as well as a pain to have it leave play (making your opponents hesitate on removal). * Also bump up Rancor to 4, adding trample is the only thing that's going to make your opponent worry about Exalted otherwise they will just chump-block everytime.
Truthfully I am having thoughts on the number of Knight of Glory and Aven Squire, I know you have them for the exalted boost but I almost wonder if some kind of token generation + Sublime Archangel would be more useful.

Please take my suggestions with a grain of salt, I never got to see the power of Exalted in its prime so my only method of thought is "Make/Cast ____ creatures that get Exalted thanks to Sublime Archangel, thus making the deck scarier."
Protection from colors is awesome offensively and defensively while Rancor is a bomb (good way) when you're swinging with some 7/7+ monster thanks to the Exalted bonuses.
What I want to know is if you had multiple creatures out, say Aven Squire, then 2 Sublime Archangels, would Aven Squire have Exalted, Exalted, Exalted? (Not Exalted 3, but 3 instances of Exalted). If it stacks like that then the deck potential for this archetype is staggering)
Aven squire with 2 sublime angels out is a 4/4 when attacking
I actually just thru a w/b token list together following your thought of more token producers, with suture priest, blood artist and an infinite lifegain combo. Its pretty awesome, but i think this w/g list is more stable
I played bant exalted when it was legal, and was REALLY hoping for a battlegrace angel reprint! She is one of my favorite cards ever!

Agreed @Battlegrace, but there's always Ravnica to hope for. I'm liking the list, I think you should play-test it against the Standard baddies now (WRR, Delver, etc) and see how it plays out.
if your looking for more hexproof creatures.....Invisible stalker is still a decent exalted candidate. This is the only time Geist of Saint Traft would suck in an Exalted deck because he would never attack alone.
but maybe if not including a hexproof creature consider adding swiftfoot boots? Haste and Hexproof could work on that turn you need to attack when they hit the board.

(O_o) .....the face I made the moment I realized that deep down.... I am a mill deck player.

i LOVE stalker, but i think the deck needs to remain 2 colors. if we get better mana fixing, and/or if there was another decent blue card for the deck
(which there probly is, ive just been focused on g/w) than lest talk!
i like your list a lot, gavony township is a great card that should be in here. maybe a split between lingering souls and fungal sprouting? i think im going to try to slip lingering souls in mine. originally i had removal like you do, but SBed it for a more aggressive strategy. tell me how if works for you!
also, why not include the exalted land? and back when shards was standard, Angelic Benediction was great for clearing a path when attacking.
in my experience, Angelic Benediction is a fun card, but not great for that 4 drop spot. it doesnt do anything when it hits the board, being dependent on an attacker. i DO like it however, just unsure about it.
as for the exalted land, i just feel like it slows stuff down too much. yes its an exalted deck, but first and foremost it is an aggro deck - the main exalted strategy is coming via Sublime. once again, testing will show, and fnm experience soon.
thanks for the comments all! keep messing with this, i think it could be pretty great
Aven squire with 2 sublime angels out is a 4/4 when attacking
.....
I believe that a creature can have multiple instances of exalted printed on them.
This means that that one Sublime = 1 exalted on it + 1 exalted on each creature. Aven squire has exalted already, so it will now effectively say "exalted exalted". Add a second angel, and the squire says "exalted exalted exalted" and each angel says "exalted exalted", meaning the squire would attack as an 8/8.
I could be wrong, but this is what I've been led to believe.
If your still lookin for a good hexproof, I'd suggest Ranger's Guile. A few guys I know that run infect use that card to great success, so I don't see why it wouldn't work out just as well here. Not to mention you catch a little bonus damage all for a green. Can't say I'm excited to have exalted beat the hell out of again but I'd still like to see it do big things this time around.
Champion of Lambholt, if you used Fungal Sprouting on her you effectively double your power lol
This is a great point lol
Plus then she makes all those saps unblockable. Might be great in this actually. I own 2, and that seems to be a good number. 3 maybe. What do u think?
As for ranger's guile, i think its a great card too, i use it in my defiance deck. I just feel like apostles blessing is great too, and i dont want to run both i dont think. Excellent idea tho!

I would think more on Champion of Lambholt , a lot of creatures need to be generated to pump her stuff to make your stuff unblockable while the whole point of Exalted is to only attack with 1 creature at a time :S

true, but a good exalted deck needs to be able to switch to aggro also, everyone swinging. but think about this (i think it works this way), my angel is a 4/3, and say i have a champion out thats a 5/5. wouldnt that make the angel unblockable for the swing, then cheat in extra damage from exalted? no chump block with lingering souls then, right?

be cool if someone could clarify that for me
If you're going to try to run Champion of Lambholt/aggro strategy then you need Wolfir Silverheart. Not only could it pump champion to 5/5 (6/6 if you add +1/+1 when he enters the battlefield) making your champion and wolfir nigh unblockable. Those two bonded would be a bad day for your opponent or with exalted you could attack with a bonded, +4/+4 Exalted-buffed Champion that is unblockable and ruin your opponent's day.
This is the only time Geist of Saint Traft would suck in an Exalted deck because he would never attack alone.
Geist does get exalted bonuses if you declare it as the only attacker. The token it puts into play was never declared as an attacker during the Declare Attackers step, and so the game stills sees only one creature has attacked (as opposed to "is attacking") that turn. Plus, geist's trigger triggers at the same time as exalted anyway so you can stack them.

Ok, but my Q, does angel remain unblockable?
I like the silverheart idea tho. I think i went with sigarda in that slot tho. And the other thing is, im not running champion/aggro strat. Its more a blend, of attack styles

Glad I found this thread! I agree, Sublime Angel is amazingly powerful, and Rancor is fantastic, too! Both of these cards in general go well with first strike, so green/white is a great way to go.
Here is what I have been playing with:
2 Thalia, Guardian of Thraben
4 Knight of Glory
2 Nearheath Pilgrim
1 Nightshade Peddler
4 Blade Splicer
2 Fiend Hunter
4 Mirran Crusader
3 Ajani, Caller of the Pride
4 Rancor
2 Oblivion Ring
2 Cavern of Souls
4 Forest
4 Gavony Township
6 Plains
4 Razorverge Thicket
4 Sunpetal Grove
Originally I had 4 Birds of Paradise and 4 Avacyn's Pilgrim instead of the Champion of the Parish, Nearheath Pilgrim, and Nightshade Peddler and I still think the mana dorks are not a bad idea. However the mana curve only went up to 4 anyways, as by the time Sublime Angel comes out often we are attacking with an extra +3 or +4. Maybe if we added in Sigarda, Host of Herons then the mana dorks would be worth it. But Champion of the Parish is just so powerful against Delver, to attack quickly, and to be another target for Vapor Snag. I don't think I've ever had my Birds of Paradise snagged, but Champion, often.
The other problem with having 8 mana dorks was that they all needed green mana. If the deck is built around 8 mana dorks you need to have green mana early, and often I would have to mull any draw that didn't have green mana sources. No SB yet, though I think 4 Ground Seal should go in, and of course, four Celestial Purge.

I would recommend some sort of trampler/ Rancor because then exalted will ultimately succeed.
As for feed/pack, i agree, its too slow to be competitive. I like the idea for a kitchen table game, but otherwise, fungal sprouting does that job much more effectively, without losing a body.
