My playgroup wants to get into Pauper EDH, since our normal EDH decks are hyper-competitive and super expensive, but we don't want to have to try to enforce "toned-down" decks. So Pauper is the perfect solution.
This is what I put together--having never played a Pauper format before--after browsing Gatherer for a few hours.
The only other commander that I'm pretty sure I'm going to be up against is Izzet Guildmage. The rest are still deciding; the two of us are trying to get more people to play.
Flux and Tolarian Winds were actually two of the last cards that I cut. I don't like the fact that Flux is a 3 cost that provides no card advantage and lets my opponents loot, and I don't like that Tolarian Winds is negative card advantage.
Chaining cantrips together is pretty much the whole point of the deck, considering the general.
I don't know pauper very well, are there any big spells to ramp into that you would recommend?
I need to find room for Sea Gate Oracle and Rancor, I don't know how I forgot those.
EDIT-- cutting Spreading Seas and Spell Pierce for Oracle and Rancor. They're really good the first few turns, but suck later on, and I don't want dead draws midgame.
EDIT 2-- I think I will try to find room for at least Shadow Rift. After testing a couple games, not being able to get around fatties was a problem.
Did two people really need to ask that? I swear I've seen this format used for decks multiple times before... I really, really hope you didn't just assume, "Oh yea, he's running seven Krosan Tuskers and three copies of his general."
I like this deck a lot. Honestly I feel like blue gets the best out of pauper. Things like Rhystic Study and capsize go into basically any blue edh deck pauper or not. Here, rhystic study is stupid good. Capsize, like always is amazing. Anyway, I really like the deck. Was looking at it, because a friend of mine has a lorescale coatl deck, and haven't seen it yet. This would be a pain in the ass to deal with. I can see the general getting huge, but getting through can be a problem. I certainly approve of the the addition of shadow rift. I could see adding distrotion strike too. You have a lot of creatures that draw cards when they hit, and in a lot of situations distortion strike could be replace itself, draw a card next turn + damage to opponent. How is the deck running for you?

Take a second look. It's singleton.
Because 7 Krosan Tuskers would be silly. (And bah-roken.)

There are four enchantments in the deck, and the other numbers are the converted mana costs.
