Not bad.. For all the people who complain about promos, this should silence them until at least the end of the year
One good month is no excuse for a few months of bad ones. That said, the promos have been very nice lately. The year started out pretty meh (Glistener Elf, Despise, Tectonic Edge), but they have gotten very good lately (Dismember, Ancient Grudge, Acidic Slime, Forbidden Alchemy, Avacyn's Pilgrim, and Lingering Souls). I'd love to see Unburial Rites, Thought Scour, or Wolfir Avenger get some FNM promo action.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.

Funny, I was just saying today how I was happy about the recent string of interesting promo cards... Systematically playable. Not necessarily pricey (though this will be), but always solid playables.
