I'm here scratching my head as to where this mini-combo best fits. It basically acts as massive card draw without an actual net loss of life. Seems like Rite of Consumption would be another card to include with this as targets 5-8 for the wall, and maybe Children of Korlis as a support card. Finding something degenerate to do with the massive draw would be nice though. Any thoughts?
This is not how bans/unbans work. Its always the enabler that gets the ban, not the card that is being abused. If you would have Yawgmoths will + whatever cards - it would be Yawgs that would be banned. If you would have Stoneforge and batterskull - it would be stone who would be banned and that is exactly how it works. Furthermore, banning a card in order to unban a different card is a thought process that was and wont be never applied in practical means.

The land that unrestricts your hand size is pretty good.
Also don't use talismans. Use signets. Life is important in this deck.
Really like children in this deck. Allows you to pay life, gain it back and then kill the other player. Probably need paths in here as well.
But them you need a sac outlet to sac the bolas dude. That's getting a little too far off. Why not run it control burn with the oops I win or I draw a third of my deck combo inside it?
not a bad idea. hard to say exactly what to do with it that would make it better or give it a niche over phyrexian unlife and ad nauseum.

conflagrate is definitely the best of the options posted here, in my opinion. I mean, the ability to play simian spirit guide for casting the win condition is undeniable. that said, I'd only run the wall of blood as a side option. You can really do better just playing efficient creatures and finishing it off with the disciple of bolas when the ground gets stalled (it usually does, somehow)
Nasty considering you'ld have a lot of 3 casting cost or less exhaulted creatures, and you sacrificr it after it has become exhaulted (usually +3-4 or more). Disciple of Bolas is an awesome card for black because it is card draw / life gain / creature, all in one card.
No Sideboard as of yet, still in testing phase. Cloudshift for evasion/Sculler interactions, Bond for removal target/added pressure (wall/Korlis/Disciple/sisters), Second Sunrise for bloom/wall recursion in the later game (if there is one)
Tainted Sigil may be of use here, will try in place of Second Sunrise or Mentor.

i don't think you guys were listening to weltkrieg at all.
this was my main kill condition for glass cannon griselbrand before moving to fury of the horde+ soulspike.
so lets break this down.
1) pay a ton of life
2) soul spike for 16
3) pitch SSG for 1 red conflagrate for 0 then pitch the other 2 to conflagrate dealing damage equal to THE UNGODLY AMOUNT OF CARDS IN YOUR HAND.
4) profit.
not only that but it puts you in a very sweet B/R deck full of terminates, Iok, Blightning, thoughtseize and a bunch of other horribly stupid cards that makes your opponent mad.
Still can't get behind playoling 4 slots to hs. Especially with so few creatures. Those slots should go for something else imo. mimic vat is a good example of what could be there. I mean the deck kills things so why not get copies of dudes? Then you get the ability to sac wall one turn to draw a lot then next turn drain the life out of them.

You could borrow Ad Nauseam's kill: Conflagrate or Lightning Storm.
Immolating Souleater is a Wall of Blood substitute.
