From the Con:
Premium Deck Series has been cancelled.
There will be a commander product every year, and this year's will be filled with good cards for commander (future products are likely to be decks).
Coming in November
This will feature new oversized cards, cards with new art, with cards never in premium before.
And sleeves.

120 UltraPRO foil card sleeves
20 double-sided Battle Marks (+ and –)
A life counter that goes up to 99

I came in right at the end of that little speech, I thought I heard them say it was coming in November?

Sad to hear about the PSD, but I can't WAIT to see what's in this Commander's Arsenal. I hope we get a lot of nice commander staple reprints again.

Here's the skinny:
Commander was tremendously well-received. They're going to do it every single year from here on out. However, because their turnaround time is only so fast, they couldn't get one ready for this year, so instead what they're doing is Commander's Arsenal, which won't be a complete set of decks like we got with the original Commander product, but rather a pack of neat stuff for Commander. I'm guessing that it won't contain new cards, since they didn't say it would. It will however have some oversized cards, some cards with new art, and some cards appearing in foil for the first time.

I remember reading that they're revisiting old cards and black bordering them. Expect to see old stuff but not broken old stuff...

but who knows, i could be wrong and they might just reprint some goodies for us

Here's hoping for some P3K goodness like Imperial Seal and Xiahou Dun. Those cards desperately need a sharp kick in the price tag.

It was more that they hit a point where they were putting too much value into a non-randomized pack and not getting enough out of it to be worth it. Note that WotC's money comes from boosters, so anything that undermines the integrity of their randomized product by containing a lot of value for the MSRP in a precon has to be a huge success (like, say, the Commander precons or a FTV set) to be worth it for them. The PDS series was profitable, but the company wasn't comfortable with what they had to put in them for their price point to move the product.

At least, that's what they said a couple months back when one of the company folk said as much on Twitter.

I have three Commander decks in progress that need sleeves.

November 2012. I'm currently watching the podcast for it and that's when they mentioned its release

For staple cards, sleeves and what I expect will be cardboard fold-out deckboxes? What do we think the price point will be?

I'm hoping it features things like a handful of Sol Rings, Command Towers, Signets, Talismans, Diamonds, bounce and painlands... general goodstuff.
