There are some forces in the world that mere planeswalkers cannot handle. The multiverse is about to learn that now.
Warning: The following deck is pretty much a Timmy Goodstuff deck. Only one intentional combo is run, and the idea is just to win by beating face.
Warning: The following deck description is run heavily by descriptions, because it was designed with Timmy-Vorthos in mind (with Vorthos compromised a bit due to Timmy-Spike). If you're sick of flavor, jump straight to the decklist at the end.
Warning: The descriptions may vary from good vorthos standpoints to total puns (because there is so much I can only think about for some cards.) So even if you're Vorthos and/or enjoy flavor, its not completely tuned for you.
You have been warned thrice, puny planeswalker. Step forth into danger, or back to your safe haven.
No one knows of its true origin. It has been sighted on various planes, and yet there are no theories on whether all these sightings are of the very same embodiment, or they share some form of inter-planar hive-mind.
Some say that it is capable of understanding and even communicating around the human level, but doesn’t do so, because it sees the weak as they are – weak, the same way that human-level beings don’t bother to speak to the insect-level. It communicates with and summons forth those whose forces are around of its level. Forces that mere planeswalkers cannot handle.
And we are about to learn that now, with its arrival.
Beings that transcend color, the Eldrazi are Aether-based abominations that consume worlds with their mere presence. They live to consume, but can be forcibly brought into solid existence for combat.
Kozilek’s mere presence incites madness with knowledge. Ulamog spreads destructive diseases. Rumour claims of another that surpasses them, but it was never seen. Even the lesser Artisan is capable of calling forth primeval forces to its aid.
A creature that looks frail, but boasts great magical defenses and grants it to those around it. An apprentice magician might be able to scratch its shell, but not even the most experienced could break it.
A winged eel with disturbing multiple eyes, it flies throughout the world in pursuit of something, but none but it and those capable of communicating with it know.
This boatman didn’t die when he was travelling the world and consumed by some leviathan. He was and remains an expert at survival. And he knows that transcending death is the best way to survive. His links to the other world are what he offers travellers for their living survival, for a small price of magical energies.
One of the weirdest creatures, even in a world filled with them, it appears and disappears on a whim, but grants bursts of magical energies whenever it appears. A popular creature for researchers and explorers to chase after, but so elusive that most never met one.
Giants may be a force to be reckoned with, but even they have troubles with creatures that rival or exceed them in size and strength. Here lies one that knows most creatures fear fire. He learned and lived by the forge and now is the master of the inferno surrounding his very existence.
A tiny and weak snake, but its presence causes lotuses to bloom and an abundance of magical energies. Highly sought-after by the knowledgeable rich, but even money can’t one to survive the dangers that surround its existence.
The planeswalker Garruk Wildspeaker has gathered lesser beasts under him for years, none that could survive in this new harsh world individually, but can together.
No one actually knows what it is. Some think is a fusion of the magical energy exuded by the great forces, other think that it provides said energy. What is true is that its presence promotes growth and restlessness among the forces.
Also insanely genius, but far from a powerful force. Smart enough that he can invoke forth the correct forces, but if you aren’t one, you’re still number two.
As mentioned earlier, this deck's simple intention is to win by beating face. So it employs effective fat creatures as its main offensive (Hence the goodstuff like Primeval Titan being here).
The weakness of Timmy Decks is usually the mana-screwing, resulting in being unable to land fatties. This deck averts this in several ways.
1) Animar. The general is always ready to cast, and absolutely helps in reducing costs. His natural protection from Weib Schwarz.... I mean White & Black means he's immune to most spot removal. With protective shields like Greaves, Asceticism & Kira, he will be doubly protected. Certainly, he's not immune to wipes like Terminus & Final Judgment, but his low cost should help in recovering. And he's only one method of acceleration, so games can be won even without him being cast, although he's the convenient weapon you should grab when possible.
2) Ramp. Prevalent in three forms. Firstly, artifacts (Sol Ring, Izzet Signet, Coalition Relic, Darksteel Ingot, Glided Lotus). Secondly, land-searchers (Wood Elves, Ondu Giant, Primeval Titan, Expedition Map). Third, temporary mana accelerators (Lotus Cobra, Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger).
Ramp creatures are usually kept low in cost (Magus, Lotus Cobra, followed by Ondu Giant & Oracle of Mul Daya) to assist with Animar for double-duty acceleration. Probably unneccessary, but its always good to be able to lay out the foundations. Once the foundations are set up, this deck is able to survive even without the general & acceleration after board wipes, as most creatures are goodstuff and can manage the game even on their own post-wipes.
To complete the acceleration package, card draw is avaliable in the form of Niv-Mizzet, Consecrated Sphinx, Mulldrifter and more. And to assist in the failure of the primary objective of beating face, Niv & Psychosis Crawler can kill via drawing.
The only intended combo in the deck is Animar + Palinchron + Apocalypse Hydra (Infinite mana pinging), and I only employ it in stale games (and pray it doesn't get stopped, hence the hatred for counters in the form of Gaea's Herald, Vexing Shusher & my own 2 counterspells - Whelk & Snake).
And that's about it. This deck employs goodstuff, tries to pre-empt most situations (set-up for boardwipe survival, anti-counter cannons, and the mana rocks are anti-LD in their own form), then let the goodstuff do the beating themselves.
The bomb spells (Primal Surge / Worldfire) are pretty much for fun. One accelerates my game state rapidly, the other is for the lulz (My playgroup loves Worldfire-mode for some reason, so it stays on until it gets banned, if it does get banned.)
Any suggestions for cards to enhance my gameplay. I'm not going for combo, so skip some suggestions like T&N & Cloudstone.

General - Animar, Root of the Forces
No one knows of its true origin. It has been sighted on various planes, and yet there are no theories on whether all these sightings are of the very same embodiment, or they share some form of inter-planar hive-mind.
Some say that it is capable of understanding and even communicating around the human level, but doesn’t do so, because it sees the weak as they are – weak, the same way that human-level beings don’t bother to speak to the insect-level. Kozilek’s mere presence incites madness with knowledge. Ulamog spreads destructive diseases. Rumour claims of another that surpasses them, but it was never seen. Even the lesser Artisan is capable of calling forth primeval forces to its aid.
Kira, Great Glass Spinner
A creature that looks frail, but boasts great magical defenses and grants it to those around it. An apprentice magician might be able to scratch its shell, but not even the most experienced could break it.
Body Double
In a world where the dying or dead are unparalleled forces in their own rights, what wrong is there in mimicking the dead?
Mulldrifter
A winged eel with disturbing multiple eyes, it flies throughout the world in pursuit of something, but none but it and those capable of communicating with it know.
Consecrated Sphinx
Twisted knowledge held by a twisted being of wisdom, it feeds on the knowledge and energies of mages and uses it against them with its own knowledge.
Deadeye Navigator
This boatman didn’t die when he was travelling the world and consumed by some leviathan. He was and remains an expert at survival. And he knows that transcending death is the best way to survive. His links to the other world are what he offers travellers for their living survival, for a small price of magical energies.
Draining Whelk
A grotesque creature that feeds on magical energy. It only appears when it deems something is worth feeding on.
Palinchron
One of the weirdest creatures, even in a world filled with them, it appears and disappears on a whim, but grants bursts of magical energies whenever it appears. A popular creature for researchers and explorers to chase after, but so elusive that most never met one.
Inferno Titan
Giants may be a force to be reckoned with, but even they have troubles with creatures that rival or exceed them in size and strength. Here lies one that knows most creatures fear fire. He learned and lived by the forge and now is the master of the inferno surrounding his very existence.
Lotus Cobra
A tiny and weak snake, but its presence causes lotuses to bloom and an abundance of magical energies. Highly sought-after by the knowledgeable rich, but even money can’t one to survive the dangers that surround its existence.
Forgotten Ancient
A primordial force of nature that feeds on the magical energies of pretty much anything. Its blood grants life, its body is continous growth.
Ondu Giant
Some giants with a keen sense of preservation managed to cultivate safe havens for their own survival.
Indrik Stomphowler
A wild beast whose howl and stomp are both larger than your dog's bark and bite.
Acidic Slime
It’s vapour, erosion. It’s touch, corrosion.
Deadwood Treefolk
Once the strongest treefolk champion, this dying wood warrior has chosen to pass his legacy to further champions.
Hydra Omnivore
A primeval force that shows how fair nature can be... fairly brutal to everyone.
Primeval Titan
The original giant which brought the continents to what they are today.
Primordial Sage
The spirit of the long dead titans and beasts of the past, he is the embodiment of all lore ancient.
Soul of the Harvest
It appears whenever new life does, reaping the harvest of new life and experiences.
Garruk’s Horde
The planeswalker Garruk Wildspeaker has gathered lesser beasts under him for years, none that could survive in this new harsh world individually, but can together.
Spearbreaker Behemoth
Some forces just can’t be seemingly killed, even with precise planning and enhanced growth in strength. This beast reinforces that theory.
Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger
The Phyrexian Praetor has found this world to be the perfect vision of how he had viewed Phyrexia.
Apocalypse Hydra
The hydra that signals the apocalypse, the end of worlds through pure brutality.
Spellbreaker Behemoth
The idea of a magical raindrop trying to stop the forces of the world is laughable. Let reality teach mages a lesson.
Mystic Snake
Its fangs feed on your flesh, its mind, your magic.
Maelstrom Wanderer
A good force deserves another. A great force, two.
Murkfiend Liege
No one actually knows what it is. Some think is a fusion of the magical energy exuded by the great forces, other think that it provides said energy. What is true is that its presence promotes growth and restlessness among the forces.
Phyrexian Metamorph
Surviving is everything in this world. Even if it requires becoming your map before trapping you in some desolate cave.
Solemn Simulacrum
Some say it’s a scarecrow that was built to distract the forces, rather than scare them, but to this day it just stands there.
Psychosis Crawler
"The brains of the brave may not be necessarily be stupid, and we will be glad to relieve you of it."
He believes that the balance of the land itself affects the forces, and uses it wisely to provoke them in the correct direction.
Sakashima the Impostor
"If you can’t beat them, be them."
Fauna Shaman
Her years of experience have taught her the proper ways to distract and attract the forces, and for a price of energy she can do the same for you.
Gaea’s Herald
The forces are the world-legion and mere magic cannot void it. She understands it.
Wood Elves
The smart and agile can survive and carve a living.
Eternal Witness
The wise and swift can live to witness everything, from the Animar’s first appearance to the world burning down.
Gamekeeper
Sometimes, surviving is boring. Let the games begin.
Oracle of Mul Daya
Her vision expands lands, literally.
Jhoira of the Ghitu
Temporal masters can attract and distract the great forces the same way that the survivalists can, simply by tinkering with that wonderful plaything.
Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind
The insanely genius and powerful force in his own right is indeed number one.
Edric, Spymaster of Trest
Even if the great forces aren’t deterring enough, the promise of money should seal the deal.
Momir Vig, Simic Visionary
Also insanely genius, but far from a powerful force. Smart enough that he can invoke forth the correct forces, but if you aren’t one, you’re still number two.
Vexing Shusher
"Shhhh. Don’t let the others know I’m here."
We use these to find out where NOT to go. Of course, unless the map itself is a force, then it tells you where to go instead.
Sensei’s Divining Top
Your sensei didn’t survive the trip for nothing, you know?
Sol Ring
Having the sun on your side can’t be a bad thing.
Izzet Signet
Apparently there’s one great force you can get around if you show proper respect. This trinket is important.
Lightning Greaves
“Run fast, hide well.” – Survival Tip #253
Ring of Kalonia
Having the sun & the earth on your side can only be better.
Coalition Relic
So many people demand magical energies as payment. This relic is a bank.
Darksteel Relic
Less interest, but can’t go bankrupt, short of the end of the world.
Mimic Vat
If there’s anything we learned from that darn map, it’s that copying stuff helps.
Glided Lotus
With such beauty, people will help you. With such power, you can pay them.
Akroma’s Memorial
“No rest. You won’t survive otherwise because they show no mercy.” – Inscription on map (What, were you expecting to carry that thing around?)
Your iPad doesn’t work here. Stick with that expedition map. And your survival skill in case the map doesn’t work either.
Not sure why he’s here, but he’s inedible enough to survive.
Garruk, Primal Hunter
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME? THIS PLACE IS HAVEN!"
“Where’d my map go?” – Norin, lost explorer.
Insurrection
I told you, you can’t win. Give it up and join us.
Primal Surge
The ultimate spell in terms of summoning the forces. All of them!
Worldfire
The ultimate spell in terms of ending the forces. All of them!
