I have heard many tale of the great prophet Sarnath. His ability to answer any question, his propensity to !1st! post1, and other skills of great reknown.
If someone could please enlighten me it would be stupendous.
How appropriate. A savage sarnath in a thread dedicated to the man. I can't help but find the humor in that.

I elect Soul_Grind for New Next TNA Mystery Amazing Super Writer of the week (for a day or two). I expect TNA to evolve into an entertaining circus/carnival under your leadership.

Yes, Sarnath was very good at being quick and cat-like about things, and in fact his avatar was always some manifestation of Hobbes from Calvin and Hobbes to drive this point home. He was a good guy, all told, and never resorted to stupidity or lamery.
The catchphrase began, as has been said, because he was usually able to post just before someone else, on the same topic, thereby making their contribution look redundant. He was able to do this even with lengthier replies, which could be startling to say the least.
What few people outside of the old MiseTings crew know, however, is that the phenomenon was originally primarily in evidence in relation to a user called Gisgo, who found himself beaten to the punch with literally every post of substance, for months and months. There was a brief movement to enshrine "Gisgo'd" as what I guess would be the past pluperfect participle of "Sarnath'd" ("having been Sarnath'd"), but it never caught on.
In any event, it was very frustrating for Gisgo, and he never got over it.

Then loom'd his streaming majesty From out that wine-dark fog, And spake he unto all our crew: "Go forth, and read my blog."

I thought gisgo'd meant 'having hate rained down upon his posts even though unbeknownst to the boards, it's King Alfred passing among the commoners'
Probably due to Gisgo being such a strange word to say.
There is always "Annoraxed" too

Yeah, I love this quote. I knew the meaning, but not the man behind the meaning. This quote tipped the balance so to speak and forced me to post.
Yeah, it sure is a shame he never posted on Salvation.

I got the proper response. This can be locked whatever, I won't check it again.
Also could someone who is more versed with such add it to the forum wiki?
