Intro:
Well the regular cubes and pauper cubes get one, so why not us too?! This was apparently tried before without a ton of participation and/or success so lets actually all make it happen this go around.
Directions:
1.) Each week (Thursday to Thursday) we'll rank one color's top 20 cards from 1(best of them) to 20(worst of them).
2.) Functional reprints like the 2/1 Pegasi brothers or Gideon's Lawkeeper/Goldmeadow Harrier are to be treated as the same card and ranked only once.
3.) Since there isn't really a total consensus of how to treat hybrid cards or cards like Lingering Souls, Kird Ape, or Dismember I feel it is best to pick 1 method so as not to skew results and have everybody stick to it. I think the best way to do this is treat cards based on what color(s) deck they would be best/fully castable in. So Kitchen Finks would be a Selesnya Card, Kird Ape Gruul, Lingering Souls Orzhov, Faerie Conclave Blue, and Dismember Black. I know not everybody agrees with this system of deviding a cube (I don't abide by it myself) but I think it is the best way to categorize these cards for data collection.
4.) Please make your rankings clear by formatting it somehow. I don't really care about particulars but each entry item needs to be numbered and in order.
5.) When all the voting is done I'll complie the data and we can all look at it pat ourselves on the back and use it to help new cubers build a peasant cube. 6.) Due to the fact that Return to Ravnica is so new please exclude those cards from your voting. Any RTR cards will be ignored.
7.) A card is eligible for voting if it has ever been printed (physically) at common or uncommon
Is this ok? I would pick one of the million pacifism variants over some of the cards lower down, but I think these are the 20 best cards for white sections in general. Am I doing that right? Or is it determined by objective power-level P1P1?
I'm not going to tell you how to vote per se. If this was all about P1P1 flexibility would be valued significantly more then raw power. If it was all about raw power flexibility would be totally ignored and uncastables that cost RGUU could end up #1. I would say vote on both P1P1 flexibility and power, striking that balance is up to the individual and with enough data from different individuals it should balance out.

Also, how would everyone feel like ranking cards for each CMC within each color?
That'd be cool. If only we had an eidolon232 to analyze our peasant cubes. I feel like ranking by cards of each cmc is more helpful overall, but it's also a lot more tedious in terms of time and effort.
I run Efreet but my definition of 'uncommon' is kinda unconventional. He is technically a rare. Ranking every cmc in every color would take an absurd amount of time and also isn't absurdly useful. The 10th best white 4 drop is MUCH worse than the 10th best white 2 drop.

Yes but you're going to be running far more 2 drops than you are 4 drops.
I'm the only person who doesn't play Faith's Fetters, i mean i didn't cut it for power reasons but balancing reasons because we want white to be agressive and cards like that cause control decks to drift a little to far into white and the white aggro decks can't manage to catch anything but weenies.
My cube is also tiny, so i'm sure once i get to 360 cards fetter's will easily be in.
We don't play mana leak in our cube for preference , once we get to a larger size it will be in and may be on this list. Serendib efreet IS in my cube and would easily make this list. In fact maybe i should have put fettergeist somewhere but he's been falling out of preference in our circle for good blink creatures and efreet.
I run efreet as well but I also run other cards most people wouldn't consider uncommon such as Xiahou Dun. You can be a little fast and loose with how you define 'uncommon' between the old U1/U2/U3 system and modo-only uncommons. For the sake of this project though I feel sticking to a very literal and vanilla definition of uncommon is best.
If overwhelmingly people feel like serendib would be a top20 if you are willing to run in (but please don't rank it still, just make a comment) I can always add an * to blue's top20.

Efreet may crack my top 10 if i were able to vote for it. That card beats me too much.
