Lets start off with the fact that this deck got A LOT of support from RtR and I will absolutely have to update it when I get a chance. HOWEVER, until then, this deck is still really good and I'm glad to have it. Basic game plan, play general. Make lots of 1/1's and then they magical christmas land into 3/3's. It's pretty awesome.
I don't know if you like infinites or not, but midnight guard combos with presence of gond. I don't even know if that's enough to warrant inclusion, but it is fairly easily stopped (creature kill in response, wrath before untap, counterspell). Not sure I would run it anyway, but hey.

How do you feel about Sigil Captain vs. Juniper Order Ranger as the general? Do you reckon Sigil Captain is strictly better?
They do different things, there are a great many cards that I either include or omit because I need to keep the deck pumping out 1/1's, so I guess it's just whatever your preference is!
Rupture spire (and its functional reprint) is a card that I think is better in decks that are super durdlely. That being said, they're great for fixing in decks that need lots of fixing. (I think they should be in most 3+ color decks).
And wood elves may come into play tapped, but it only grabs forests, so it's a mixed bag. Both are good though me thinks!
