Round 2 Challenge - Updated
Show us how your new mechanic can be supported in a different color, on a noncreature card. If it is impossible for a noncreature to have this mechanic, the card should interact with the mechanic in a positive way, perhaps by granting it, searching for it, improving it, etc. The card should be obviously connected to the mechanic, but does not need to refer to the mechanic by name. For example, I would consider Ruin Ghost an obvious Landfall enabler, while Joint Assault and Clockspinning are great examples of cards that interact with other mechanics without having the mechanic themselves.
Flavorfully, the new card should refer to another Dominarian culture in a different color, for example a Benalish warrior might find allies in Llanowar, or a Pardic mage could appeal to the Cephalids.
Please check the spoiler below for your scores. If you have a "CARD PROBATION" and do not submit a card by the deadline this round, you will be dropped. Likewise, if you have a "TOP 3 PROBATION" and do not submit a Top 3 during critiques this round, you will be dropped. You can remove the Top 3 Probation by submitting a Top 3 for last round either in that thread or by PM to me.
The Card Creation League is a monthly contest in which players compete over seven rounds. Each month has an overall theme and/or story, determined by that month's host.
Each round, the host will assign a card creation task to the players. This task may vary between teams or players.
The first three rounds are open to everyone who joined in the sign-up thread, which will be posted near the end of the previous month. After these rounds, the Top 8 players will move on to three elimination rounds to determine a winner.
Rounds usually last three to four days for submissions and about two days for critiques, but the host has final say in making the schedule.
For the first three rounds, players are divided into teams. Four teams is standard, but there may be more or less depending on the number of players. Each team will review another team's cards during the critique period of that round.
Each player must submit a Top 3 ranking for the team he or she critiques at the end of each round. Each 1st place is worth 3 points, 2nd place 2 points, and 3rd place 1 point.
Additionally, each player can receive 2 bonus points per round. One point is awarded for posting a Top 3, and one point for providing critiques for that team's cards.
Suggested areas to critique include creativity, balance, printability, and relation to the overall theme or that player's previous cards.
Players who do not post a card or a Top 3 will be put on "probation." Top 3 violations for a round can be removed by posting or PMing the host with your Top 3 before the end of the next round. Any player that would receive a second violation is disqualified from further competition that month.
At the end of the first three rounds, the Top 8 players will be selected by points (usually the top 2 from each team). In the case of ties, there may be more than 8 players advancing. The suggested scoring method is for each player to critique all remaining players in the same Top 3 style as the first three rounds, with the top half advancing each round, so Top 8, then Top 4, then Finals.
The final round is determined by public poll.
Prior to Top 8, players have a chance of getting a total of 100 points toward their score each Scoring Round. Scores for each Round are determined by the following equation:
Total points of Player A in round N = 100 * X/Y, where:
X = Total number of Scoring Points (Judge Points + Additional Points from Top 3 & Critiques)
Y = Total number of Possible Points (3 * Number of Judges + Additional Points)
3 points are given for a First Place Top 3 finish, 2 points for a Second Place, and 1 point for a Third Place. 1 additional point is awarded if a Top 3 is submitted. 1 additional point is awarded if Critiques are given for all entries to be judged.
This way the grading is more streamlined in the fact that all rounds prior to Top 8 are graded equally, and there is no handicap for any team that has fewer judges.
Each player accumulates points from each Scoring Round until the end of Round 3.

Made it a sorcery speed because having a speech happen during battle, and it makes sense as well I think, I mean, if some apparent grand hero gave a speech, and then just sat there or failed to make any impact at all, it wouldn't be all that inspiring. Swapped it to a rare flashing enchant creature, I think it works better this way, the other card would have been common level due to its... badness. Also, I know Benalia doesn't exist anymore technically, but I still think it works. I did want to reference the rebels somehow, but I couldn't think how to do that honestly. I'm calling it right now- worst rare in the set. Even good limited players will find better bombs at common and uncommon no sweat. Worst. Episode. Ever.
I really do predict this to be our worst rare in set award winner. I'd be happier opening a jar of eyeballs, so I think anything worse is highly unlikely. This card wont just have zero constructed potential, but not be significantly better than a mass of ghouls in a draft.
Welp, it seems I ended married to a mechanic that proved mostly unpopular.
Question: does the card have to actually have the mechanic on it, or can it just reference it/combo with it?
Yours should say "strain" on the card, as indicated in the challenge. There were a number of cards that referred to suspend without having it, for example.
EDIT - You no longer have to refer to the mechanic by name, just make a card that seems obviously intended to support the mechanic in another color.

I was obviously misreading the intent of the challenge in earlier rounds and hence can't submit a card that meets this round's criteria. The definition of "recognisable mechanic" was a bit too open and I fell into the trap of picking a card with a recognisable mechanical identity but now it appears I should have been picking something closer to a keyword mechanic.
I have therefore no choice but to change my original card and theme. The new original card is Ekundu Cyclops. The new mechanic is called Onslaught:

Cythare: The guy is interesting, though it is quite hard to parse. Also, you need to do some counting and some arithmetic. I feel like the mechanic isn't worth the brain confusion it's going to cause.
Profani: I don't like copies at common; I feel like they cause memory issues. A whole mechanic like this seems really meh to me. I like the twist on Mistforms, but it just doesn't do it for me.
Goblin Pile Shuffler: Nice twist on battle cry. I like this keyword because it provides a small bonus for tribal decks without being a battle cry rehash. Rewards attacking.
Icarael: The card as a whole is not that good to me, which is strange because I normally like your designs. Repeatable token making is not at common, and at 4 mana + discard this just spews tokens everywhere.
drewdagreek: I feel like this is too finicky for a common. It provides lots of busywork but not enough payoff.
SolestIco: I really like what you've done with this mechanic. It's a mana elf when you need it and you can turn it on to become a beater. I think this is not flavorful, which hurts the mechanic, but solid.
v_n: Despotize is not a good mechanic. I don't get it. It provides a minor power boost in exchange for the toughness. I mean, +1/+0 might be good each turn, but I just don't understand why you need the toughness lowered. I don't understand it.

Top 3
1. Solestico
2. Goblin Pile Shuffler
3. Profani - I had a hard time with this but I feel like your mechanic is the least offending
Enchantment (R)
Assail 3 - Whenever you attack with three or more creatures, until end of turn, if a creature you control would deal damage to a creature or player, it deals double that damage to that creature or player instead.
