What do you guys think of Pillory of the Sleepless running around in DM/GTC/RTR draft? Could get some really disgusting control decks running around if that were to happen.
I love Pillory of the Sleepless. You could technically reproduce a version of the card by combining existing effects such as Stab Wound and Martial Law, Sphere of Safety, or Pacificism. That's a lot of work but its the start of a really abusive Orzhov "tax" deck. Make it Esper and add in Feeling of Dread? Sorry, got carried away lol. But otherwise, that feel. I would really like to see them reprint at least 1 or 2 of some of the more popular guild cards such as maybe Pillory and Wee Dragonauts or even Schismotivate! Though with Augur Spree around I don't have much hope for Schismotivate. It would be awesome with Blistercoil Weird though and maybe Teleportal?
I guess long story short I would like to see them build more synergistic cards. I'm sick of these uncreative "good stuff" decks.
The following link is an invitation to join Pucatrade (card trading service though similar to TCGPLayer). If you follow the link then it awards me with tokens to exchange for actual cards. Thanks! https://pucatrade.com/invite/gift/86097
I would like really much if WotC would print some reliable nonbasic-hosers: Price of Progress (Fine Gruul card), Anathemancer or maybe Fulminator Mage (last ones in the Dragon's Maze, obiviously).
Price of Progress is absolutely absurd, and has no place anywhere near this multicolor-heavy environment.
A 2-mana instant should not win the game so easily.
They already said Blood Moon was too strong a hoser for this standard,
so I *seriously* doubt PoP was ever even in the running.
Momir Vig, Simic Visionary
Melek, Izzet Paragon
Oona, Queen of the Fae
Bruna, Light of Alabaster
Gisela, Blade of Goldnight
Rhys the Redeemed
Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord
Sen Triplets

dragon maze should have tools for all guilds so yes Im hoping for atleast helix, but I think thats going to bring uwr over the top. Also maybe a reprint of vindicate and thoughtsieze. Id also like maybe a condemn reprint or faiths fetters.
This thread is full of idiots... Lightning Bolt is NOT being reprinted.
Many times has a writer in Wizards said so, because of the plain and simple fact that it's too powerful for what it costs. x/3 creatures shouldn't be able to die at instant speed for one mana without a signifigant drawback. (like PTE giving you a land)
I absolutely guarantee that LB will not be printed in M10, and you can quote me on that.
Helix Might Happend (much more likely in Modern Masters), Bob will most likely be in Modern Masters, i think Glimpse is very Likely, Golgary grave troll is out for sure (Dredge is not comming back), maybe in MM, Doubling season and privileged position are fine, but who cares really... nobody plays em, even in EDH are mediocre.
Probe.
Some decent Simic defenders, especially with flying. (Flying giant plant zeppellins for everyone). And a decent mana outlet in GU.
A decent but not overpowered (what's the point of printing something if it gets banned...) common library filter/tutor in blue at cmc<=2 (Yes Forbidden Alchemy it's awesome, but trying to fit it in a deck with 4x Axebane Guardian // Galvanic Alchemist can be a bit... straining to the manabase) Tortured Existence.
Is Tracker's Instincts what you are looking for? If a filter/tutor is printed it'd be dimir or simic, if it is simic it is likely to also only hit creatures.
What I'd like to see:
1) More low CC utility stuff (i.e. Deathrite Shaman - my favorite RTR card) aimed at eternal formats.
2) LOTS of goodies for my Edric deck (also see above).
3) The 3 other non-spoiled legends of gatecrash to have an average CC of 4. (i.e. all cost 4cc)
4) A enchantment version of Torpor Orb (that also stops "leave play") + the Cantrip from Ground Seal to deal with restoration angel, Thragtusk, and Snapcaster mage permanently. - The problem was that torper orb was ALWAYS a losing proposition because it put you -1 in CA for no additional board control, if it cantriped (and had a slightly more restrictive CC because it was colored) it could be a VERY good SB card to deal with spell dudes.
5) a decent counterspell (It's not even as though it would be that strong considering we have our uncounterable cycle and cavern) - If ever we could afford a good counterspell in standard now would be the time.
6) A homage to price of progress (i.e. 1R 1 damage to target creature or player for each non-basic land target opponent controls) to stop all this "Lets run 4 colors and have NO DOWNSIDE... oh yea, and 0 basics in our deck"
7) Wasteland (I root for this in EVERY set. You all may say it's OP, but my friend once articulated why we should have it in standard VERY well here)
9) A crappy 4-6 CC red enchantment printed at rare that will never see any play ANYWHERE besides maybe norin... (Because this block hasn't had one of those printed yet)
What I'd hate to see:
1) More restoration angel targets (i.e. ETB creatures like Snappy and Thragtusk - though I do love the former)
2) More creatures with hexproof (they're not fun to play against)
3) A creature that is a combination of (1) and (2)...
What I can't possibly imagine them printing
1) Doubling Season (Will NEVER be standard legal again, see planeswalkers)
2) Vindicate (maybe without the land destruction clause - see snappy - we would esper LD everywhere)
3) Pernicious Deed Because Jund is already too good in modern.
Gatecrash;
- Continuation of the 1-drop uncommon cycle that we got in Ravnica, I am dying to see Gruul, Orzhov and Boros 1-drop
- Gideon Jura planeswalker for 2RW
- Something that will make me dislike blue even more
- Some cool 2-mana gold cards
Dragon's Maze;
- Ral Zarek, planeswalker
- Something cool and good for Rakdos
- Perhaps 3-colour wedge lands like the ones from Alara (Arcane Sanctum, except WBR and the like..)
- Legendary Nephilim
I would not be surprised if there were 4-color legends. It's been noted that they are very hard to design, and since the only other 4-color cards were in Dissension, Dragon's Maze would be a great place to release them (if only to get the Commander players off their backs).
The Timmy in me would love for them to be a new cycle of Elder Dragon Legends, but it's probably more likely that I sprout wings and fly away from this keyboard.
I'm SO SICK of the "too strong for Standard" argument. It's the new "Dies to removal". We can have a two mana 4/4 with a zillion abilities, but we can't just have Accumulated Knowledge. Makes sense.

I dont think the # of commanders is an indication ;). WB also deserves some love - only 4 commanders, and selenia only serves as a style bonus.
If I remember correctly, the old simic was very good with sky swallower, voidslime etc. If they are weaker this time, then maybe wotc are just cautious cuz thragtusk and farseek are already so good.

I certainly won't argue that WB hasn't also gotten the shaft re: potential Commanders-
One could even argue they got shafted the most,
as Selenia and Ghost Council aren't very good Generals.
Teysa and Vish-Kal are fairly mediocre compared to Edric, Momir Vig, Jhoira, or Niv-Mizzet 1.
I have played against an interesting Selenia deck though-
it was based around cards like Soul Conduit and Mirror Universe,
triggering Selenia's bounce multiple times simultaneously to put him at 1 or 2 life before swapping with someone.
It was a a bit janky, but a cool idea nonetheless.

My wishlist:
-A Gruul Ball Lightning/Groundbreaker variant.
-A sorcery that makes a token of a creature you control
-A legendary creature with ETB Populate.
Both of these already exist. Counterflux & Essence Backlash

I can be certain to except Kiora.
But, I expect a few nifty legends and a fun set of lands.
“Homo homini lupus est.”
give us our undermine - to be honest because of the restrictive cost i could see vindicate come around maybe
though i am hoping for few reprints
Sure, let's go with that
Have all of them.

It's not impossible.
That and GU will be the only "Walkerless" color pairs after Ral Zarek,
and they'll likely do WG first, since I'm crazy for GU :/
(they also appear to *hate* GU, if the number of Commanders [3] is any indication :p)
