It was at that moment that I realized: I'm kinda just making these things up. We can just write the rules the way we want them to work. People will have fun, and people will get it.
This card has a huge potential to be broken either way. Having it look for Power instead of CMC will merely reduce this. This is why I think we need the exile clause.

I think Power has WAY more potential to be broken than CMC. There are all sorts of bonkers cards with 2 or less power; for CMC, I'm only seeing tarmo and dreadnought.
I think exiling the card and loss of life should have been in the poll.

I wanted to save a few things to act as balancing tools after this poll. For instance, if the poll ended up going with tapping for two colors and having a permanent transformation it would have been a lot more powerful than tapping for colorless and lasting until eot. If additional drawbacks like exiling the card or additional costs were in the poll, it's possible all the "better" options could have won, adding up to an incredibly powerful card. This way, we can assess the power level of the areas of the design I felt were closest to the core, then add on peripheral drawbacks as needed.

Well, I think we can determine that it's going to be until end of turn and that it's CMC 2 or less. The colors are still an issue so let's have us a coin flip discussion:
Why W/B:
-Fits in the flavor of white about recurring wheenies. Fits in black because this is what black does.
-Gives a more honorable spirit of a soldier vibe to it.
-Makes for a splashier card (both in terms of "wow" factor, and in terms of color splashing in a deck; so this is really two points in one...)
-Seems to suggest a cycle of enemy color manlands that complete the allied color cycle that is already in Zendikar.
Why B:
-Possibly balances the card by restricting its mana production possibilities.
-Safer bet on the flavor of the color. Black is graveyard shenanigans.
-Suggests a more morbid bad ghost feel.
I honestly don't feel too strongly either way.
Give us your thoughts. Tell me why I'm wrong and what I'm missing.

IIW for any CCC (pick the highest one in the list):
A high-costed equipment (I want it big, but make sure it isn't nutso-broken with Stoneforge. So a high equip cost or a benefit for casting or something)
A Squirrel Wizard
A G?? (1-3 colors, including green) legendary creature with its main strat based on not attacking
I'm just wondering, why not U. I voted for 1 because it really doesn't feel like a card at all...
Blue doesn't get graveyard shenanigans to this degree. I mean, it probably did in Innistrad, but this card's made to fit into Zendikar, and if you search the whole of Zendikar block for blue cards with "graveyard" in the text, you get three mills, one graveyard digger that pulls out only instants or sorceries, and one shuffle-yard-into-library.
So I think that is a pretty solid argument for "Zendikar style blue doesn't do corpse copying."
(As an aside, Innistrad and Time Spiral block are the only places you see mono-blue cloning corpses.)
I think it's about time to call this round over. Any mods hearing this?

Sorry for the delay guys, as any other students may understand, things can get pretty busy around this time. Things'll get back on track soon.
Do understand that while this game is official, I am the only one who personally runs it, so when things come up for me the game may slow down. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Here's the original design:
Now we're voting on 3 aspects of the card:
1) The colors is should produce
2) If the copying effect should be permanent
3) Power vs. Converted mana cost
Additional drawbacks (such as exiling the creature) will be added or removed as we move forward.
This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move."
