mine is a 6 inch Italian herb & cheese meatball marinara with cheddar cheese, bacon, toasted with a little bit of chipotle southwest and exactly 4 jalapenos. Fantastic sandwich.
I generally get turkey any time I go to any sandwich shop. I could live off turkey sandwiches for the rest of my life and be perfectly happy. I always go foot long, never tosted.
When Subway is my only options, I always go w/ turkey, American cheese, lettuce, onions, banana peppers, olives, and some salt & pepper.
If you have other sandwich places around, I'd recommend you try them; Jimmy John's, Thundercloud Subs, Which Wich, McCallisters. Way better, and Mccallisters is the only one that's more expensive.

Footlong Big Philly Cheesesteak on monterey cheddar bread with pepperjack cheese, pepperoni, jalapenos, cucumbers, parmesan, and chipotle southwest sauce. It's almost a ten-dollar sandwich, but it's delicious.

I'm a big fan of salami, so their spicy italian cold cut gets my dollar more often than not.
Pepper jack cheese and all the veggies they'll pile on it. No sauce and no toasting. The foot long is two lunches for less than 3 bucks a lunch. Still pricier than making my own sandwiches, but not a bad price in a pinch. With no sauce, the leftover half of the sandwich will keep well overnight. You'll get a little bit of softening in the bread and veggies as the jalepeno and banana pepper brines soak in, but it won't be soggy and you'll have spicy brine soaked into everything so you're still coming out on top.
Same here. I also order the white chip macadamia cookies too.
Same as well, haha. Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki. I have mine with extra sweet onion sauce put on before the toasting, then toasted with cheddar cheese, then with the normal amount of sauce put on, with a load of onions and green peppers, and a normal amount of tomatoes, with lots of pepper to finish it off. Then yeah, Ive definitely gotten my fair share of white chip macadamia cookies as well. Good stuff.
I will say however, that I went back recently and was rather astounded as to how high they have risen most of their subs. I used to go to subway all the time, but now, unfortunately, they have priced themselves out of my business, these days I go to Jimmy Johns to get my subs, outside of a couple options, they are cheaper, better tasting, and you get more on them. Subway may have the brand name, but unless they do something to improve their price points or attract more customers the old fashioned way, they are likely to continue to lose market share to other smaller sub places.
At right now (but I've chosen this since a long time ago), I like the roasted chicken on multigrain bread with toasted Subway cheese, all salads but jalapenos and precisely two olives (if I get any at all), extra lettuce, (sometimes) extra tomato and carrots, no salt and no pepper, and some sauce (more often than not, something with much energy such as mayonnaise, honey mustard, or ranch; this is where I could do much, much better by not getting any).
Could be that I go for one of the cheaper Subway options, but the Jimmy John's around here tend to be pricier for a much smaller sub.
the Jimmy Johns subs are 8 or 9 inches long, and you have more generic options for $5, ones with a lot more meat for $6, and then their big sub with a ton of meats and stuff (gargantuan) for $8. The amount of meat or the like you get on the JJ's subs are always more than even the footlong versions at subway, subway is WAY stingy with their meats and such. Plus the regular bread JJ's uses is better than ANY of the breads from Subway imho. At our local subway, the only $5 footlongs left are the cold cut combo, or the veggie, everything else is $6-$10 each now, its rather terrible these days. They no longer do daily specials except for overpriced meals, and their sub of the month, which occasionally is good. Their regular prices are terrible these days though. On their soups, for example, they reduced the size down by 1/3 and raised the price from $2 to $2.50, it was rather pathetic.
Anyhow, Im sorry for the rant, Ive just been rather dissapointed with Subway of late, they arent even trying to compete with their competition anymore, its no wonder their numbers have been down of late.

hell yeah, i love me some jimmy johns. much better sandwich quality than subway but the choices are significantly more limited.
Favorite subway sandwich is chicken breast with spinach, assorted hot peppers (forget name), olives, and tomatoes topped with spicy mustard.
mmm
Favorite jimmy johns is a turkey tom easy on the mayo for normal stuff, beach club (a lot more food) when i'm really starved or haven't had one in a while.

It might just be regional, because here we still have several options for the $5 footlongs. We don't have the cheap daily meal deal though. When I order Subway I normally get the 6" plus combo, which costs me about $1 less than the equivalent at JJ's. The problem I have with JJ's around here is the lack of meat. Seems like it gets lost in the large amount of (very good bread) and I have just a bread sandwich. Only major problem I have with JJ's is they charge for the peppers. Why those, of all toppings?
When the sandwich is made well, I do agree, JJ's beats Subway.
I think I most often get buffalo chicken on jalapeno cheddar with lettuce, tomatos, onion, chipotle southwest and light mayo, salt & pepper. Sweet onion chicken teriyaki is good too, not a fan of any of the other cheap subs really.
I prefer Quizno's but this year our campus quizno's was replaced by subway. We now have two subways on campus, that's more locations than ATMs and starbucks. Ridiculous.
Which Wich is good and has lots of nice touches like foil wrapping, but it's just too expensive.

I wish my school's main campus had a Subway (although technically, there's one across the street from the school).
My school got a Quizno's about 2 years ago, can't even remember what was there before but I do remember that there was rarely anyone at whatever that place was.
I'm weird, I usually prefer Subway over Quiznos, although I think I'm a minority on that one

No worries man. My true loyalty is to my own food, these sub shops are just back-ups.
Around here Subway still has daily specials and the Sub of the Month for 5 bucks (anything from tuna to those chicken things). However, I don't really think Subway does good meat other than the cold cuts. I agree with you on Jimmy John's bread being better, but other than their alfalfa and roast beef being superior (far superior in the case of the beef), the meats and veggies are a wash with Subway here. I think the main kicker for me is the volume of veggies, Jimmy John's skimps on everything but lettuce, Subway will load it up. So my options coming in under 6 bucks are 2 meals or 1 meal of similar quality. 2 meals gets it. I wouldn't know about Subway's soups or salads, I only get subs and they'll put a salad on it for me.
I am a big fan of Jimmy John's day old bread. It's up to almost 50 cents a loaf these days, but it is just perfect whenever I'm making garlic bread or pizza bread at home.
Foot long, toasted, Italian BMT on Italian herbs and cheese. Provolone cheese, lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, green pepper, cucumber, onion, black olives, extra oregano, and chipotle southwest sauce. Sometimes I get it without the Italian BMT meat and just go vegi.
