Looks like a lost connections picture.
Me scared and freaking out. You pointing a knife at me. Your pointy boots on my knee. Me about to smash you with my hammer. Let's do it again some time. ~borosdude32

Looks like Dimir and Boros. The knife looks pretty Dimir-ish considering they're the assassins and thieves. Then again, it could be Orzhov. It likely doesn't matter though. Cool art, nontheless.

These are fun to pick up an play with a friend. I'm still a huge fan of pack wars, though. Glad they are continuing this product.

My vote is for Dimir assassin Vs. Boros solider.
The Dimir are the assassin guild who do the dirty work of the other guilds. I don't see the ornate trappings of the Orzhov and the Rakdos usually have bloody spikes, chains and other metal stuff plus were in RTR so they are unlikely. The soldier has red and gold accents to his armor which I have not seen outside of the Boros and the signet on the front of the armor sure looks like the Boros signet.

I assume it's a Dimir assassin. Fits the style of the Dimir assassins depicted in Return to Ravnica, and also the girl has the Dimir Bane-esque mask seen on the art of the coming Dimir Guildmage. Looks little like The Orzhov-style Cozen.
Great art though. They are really playing up the guild interactions this block, and I love it. |

Could they not just sell guild-packs?
I mean seriously, how many of you have ever bought a ravnica booster hoping for some sweet cards in one guild and gotten everything but? Players clearly love guilds, why not let them buy boosters that are guild-specific?

I love these and glad they are being made from "not just core set" cards now.
These are incredibly fun particularly if you like sealed deck but only have 1 other person to play against. (it gets super expensive to do sealed deck at home, my wife and I love sealed deck but can't always afford 30 bucks a player to get packs to do so at home). If you've never picked these up they are an interesting way to spend your time. Because you are kind of tied to which guild you get as well as your pack of cards. in the RTR ones you sometimes want to add the basic land just because you didn't get enough cards in your colors or you need a splash.

why everyone says dimir is a assasin like guild? every black alling guild has its assasins
from the mothership Dimir: Above and Below. There are at least two levels of the Dimir: the overt level, the face of the guild the general public of Ravnica is allowed to see, and the covert level, that which consists of the inner guild and the members Ravnicans suspect exist but rarely, if ever, see. Overt Level. The Dimir are just like any Ravnican guild, serving a public purpose for the good of the city. They often serve as couriers, investigators, reporters, and archivists. They serve twin purposes: to give the rest of Ravnica a "friendly" face of the guild and to be the street-level eyes and ears of the Dimir. Many entry-level candidates to the Dimir guild begin as overt agents until they can prove their trustworthiness. Covert Level. The Dimir are a network of agents, spies, assassins, and mind mages. The covert level of House Dimir uses secret symbols, runes, and signals to communicate, often in plain sight. Covert Dimir also employ various mysterious forms of mind magic, such as telepathic communiqués that are erased from memory as soon as the operation is completed. |
