[Promo] – 2013 GP Schedule (promo: Primeval Titan), OP changes

The 2013 Grand Prix schedule is out, including tons of Limited and Team Limited events. Next year's first Grand Prix promo is an alternate-art Primeval Titan, which will be given out through GP Houston:

GP's with more than 1200 attendees will be awarding Pro Tour invites and airfare to the top 8.

Those who Top 8 a PTQ will get a Gatecrash playmat featuring Aurelia and Gideon:

PTQ winners will also get a bonus of 1000 Planeswalker Points, thus giving them a 2-round bye at each GP that season.

There have also been various changes made to the World Magic Cup that are detailed in the article.

On another note, the Magic Players Championship will be renamed the World Championship, and its champion will be the World Champion (obviously). It'll be held at the same time as the World Magic Cup...which might lead to some confusion, but maybe not.

Do note people... this is only the first half of the year. The article states that like this year, there will be a different promo 2nd half of the year.

Nothing. That's how they like it. Cards you buy should have an expiration date, and cards they give you should have no real playable value.

Yeah, that IS really strange there isn't an expansion/star symbol of some kind. Plus, there isn't a watermark on the rules text. Strange... a new precedent perhaps?? Regardless, pretty awesome promo. edit: can anyone see the collector number?

It sees play in Legacy valakut, but I haven't seen it anywhere else or in modern. It's illegal everywhere else.

Some R/G Valakut decks run it in Modern, but it's not really used anywhere else. Anyway, I'm happy to have a Legacy GP just two hours from where I live. A GP in Atlantic City isn't too shabby either, that's not too far either.

I don't know what you guys are complaining about. Foil Primeval Titan's are still around $20 - 25

I've been waiting to get one for my cube, and I'd be happy to run this promo.

Grand Prix Vegas is the first GP with the new promo, which is great because i was not exactly thrilled about getting a prime time promo
