*** BACKGROUND ***
Hey! Are you a Timmy and a Johnny? Do alternate win tickle your fancy? And too many colors confuse you? Well I have the deck for you! It's 1 color, win in every way except getting them to zero, draws you lots of cards and you will definitely surprise your opponent. It slices, it dices, it's mono green turbo fog door!!
The game plan is pretty straight forward, stall the game with fogs and draw lots of cards and ramp into the door for the win. The best way to use door is with alchemist's refuge at the end of their turn so it becomes untapped on your turn. Staff of Nin and Otherworld Atlas are your draw engines, which are alright. Usually you want the atlas to have 2 counters, and against counterspells only want to activate it at the end of their turn to minimize them reacting to you.
Smart players will use nevermore or slaughter games your chromatic lantern, the key to your plan, so in the sideboard I put in your alternate win condition which is to mill them out with Sands of Delirium. Naturalize hits their Detention Spheres, if they take out your lantern, save one in your hand until you cant take out their spheres. Clinging Mists is against aggro, mostly Hellrider. And Grafdigger's Cage is only because my LGS runs a lot of reanimator, you can substitute something else here instead.
What to side out? Witchbane Orb most of the time, exchange terrifying presence for clinging mists if you have to. And the door for sands.
-In a burn heavy environment you may want to bump up the Witchbane Orb to 3 for consistency, but it's only at 2 right now because you almost never want to draw into a second one.
-If you want to be really flashy you can throw in there a Woldspine Wurm, just so you can say you cast it, in addition it acts as an anti mill card. It also synergize well with Terrifying Presense.
-You could add more colors to the manabase to make it more reliable, but you don't get to say you used a monogreen door deck, so shame on you.
Post Gatecrash
Enter Urban Evolution. Farseek replaces the elk, we get rid of Terrifying Presence because it is much less reliable without our one creature.
Someone beat me in cockatrice with this deck so I was experimenting to see if I could replicate it. I couldn't find the list anywhere so I had to go from what I saw. Tweaked it a bit and this is what I have so far.
It's a pretty budget deck and so far it doesn't have a bad matchup since not very many decks are running artifact hate at the moment. The exception to the budget is Thragtusks, it's only in my build cause I've pulled 3 of him from packs. But he's not essential to the deck, I just don't know what to replace him with. Also this deck would be ten times better if farseek was instead rampant growth.
I saw this deck on cockatrice too beat him 2 games using my br control I think because of thundermaw and outracing him.
Maybe u could splash blue and white with it? To make it better? If you have supremes and terminus, you could probably consider adding them. And maybe adding the 5 cmc Jace, Memory Adept if u have the card
Oh, no wonder this deck looks very familiar lol, hmmmm if u r going pure green, then I dun have any other suggestions except maybe reliquary tower? In case ur otherworld atlas draws u too many cards and u have to discard loads of it

Darn it. I was going to suggest this one, took a pee then I came back, hit f5, there it is.
I love decks like this. You definateley should up to four lanterns. And some sort of of one sided draw engine like staff of nin may help. I love that card. I think adding blue will allow you to run some of the awesome defenders like fog bank and other useful cards.

Does abundant growth have a place? Good with arbor elf, color fixing, card draw...
Curious about Sands of Delirium. Wouldn't more card draw or a non-artifact alternate kill be better? Devil's Play or something.
Regardless, 2 Lantern are 2 too few. If you draw door, you need a lantern. Plus acceleration, so not redundant entirely.
Sands is an alternative win con if we don't draw door or lantern. And I'm not in favor of abundant growth because what we need is cheap ramp not more fixing. And I would probably cut thrag for more lanterns.
I cut clinging mists in favor of moonmist cause it's cheaper, and 16 fogs is a lot already. I don't want to add more colors because the sheer surprise by the door in a monocolored deck is more satisfying to me.
I was originally going to make it a tranformative sideboard into monogreen aggro but it didn't work out so well. So I'm going to add clinging mists into the sideboard and switch it for moonmist when we're going up against Huntmaster of the fells. Also moving Sands of Delirium to the sideboard for self milling decks like reanimator.
Worldspine Wurm is only there to be flashy because the Timmy in you will be so excited to be able to cast it in constructed. I would probably replace it with another Witchbane Orb because fogs don't prevent burn.

I agree. I tried to run a Bant Turbo Fog with Worldspine Wurm and it's not worth it. I keep on dying against burn so I took him out and added another Witchbane Orb having a two of on my deck.
The issue with Turbo Fog in the current standard is that there is no reliable draw engine (such as Howling Mine). I had a turbo fog deck for a little while, but it continued to be outclassed ):
Best of luck in making it work out! It'll always struggle against Rakdos unfortunately.

The reason I think this deck is viable right now is because no one really runs artifact hate in the current meta. And Otherworld Atlas and Staff of Nin are pretty good draw engines, although not perfect.
Switch out 5 or 6 forests for any other basic and play farseek. It would still be an improvement even if you aren't running the other color. A turn two accelerant is huge in getting our engine going.
This is the complete and finalized product!!
Added evolving wilds for deck thinning, with the amount of ramp, you'll have half your lands on the field, ideally so the thinning really helps. Naturalize for their detention spheres, and Clinging Mists for Hellrider.

This deck is better than the psychic spiral deck because everyone in the meta is running graveyard hate, but no one is running artifact hate. As for farseek, I opt for Dawntreader Elk instead. We still get the ramp of farseek, but because its a body and a cheap cost, we could effectively trade/sac and save our fogs for the bigger guys.
Scroll up, I posted the updated version there, I'll edit the first post eventually.
I finally took this to an FNM and went 2-2-1
Just a brief tournament report, here are some highlights.
Lost to GW tokens, one mana from activating door and needed to topdeck either a fog or land to survive and win but drew another door.
Lost to RDW, double hellriders have nothing on fogs man!
Won against GW Midrange, went to 2 life to activate Clinging Mist's fateful hour.
Won by milling out FRITES
Drew to Junk Midrange, went to turns, was about to win but he Appetite for Brains my door.
So this deck has no problem with midrange and control decks, but aggro is too fast. Don't know what to do about that exactly.

Divine Deflection is fog+removal.
If I was testing, I might have to try out a defender package of Axebane Guardian, Gatecreeper Vine and Tree of Redemption. But I also own no Thragtusk. :-(

I'm thinking about switching arbor elf for dawntreader elk, what do you guys think?
Also adding a single worldspine wurm to the list since, we'll have so much mana that we'll be able to hardcast it.
Theoretically Worldspine can be an anti-decking method so long as you keep your hand above 7 to discard it each turn..
How does this deck deal with things like Bonfire, or other burn?
Or as mentioned, hellrider seems like a huge issue.
I think it might be worth looking at splashing blue for bounce effects. I just don't see how you can get around burn + hellrider without dying.
