Default Foil mythic expansion symbol

I was watching all the GTC cards spoilered so far and I noted a thing: the expansion symbol of the five foil mythic is different from the one of the official ones.
Spoiler:

It's very thin compared to the others.
I don't know if this is because of the mythic rarity, but I wanted to show it anyway.

That said, the symbol on Domri Rade matches a fair bit better. http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/attac...6&d=1353145146

To me is still wrong.
Spoiler:

I'm going to make a pic with all the symbols to compare them better...

Is likely the white border used for the border of the mythic symbol makes it appear smaller.

Here the comparison anyway:
Spoiler:

I don't know. I like the five mythics... The official spoiler will tell us the truth.

Not sure if it is the case here, but in some sets the uncommon set symbol is bigger than the rest. NPH's uncommon set symbol looked bigger than the rest

This always happens between rarities, it's because the mythic is outlined in white and the Uncs in black.

To me, the biggest difference is the "triangular" gap in the bottom-middle of the symbol. The uncommon and rare has a much smaller gap than the mythics.

I'm pretty sure it only looks that way because, as was said before, the mythics are outlined in white instead of black, which gives the impression the gap is bigger.

This. Look at some RTR Mythics vs RTR Uncommons. It's much more noticeable on GTC cards simply because the symbol is thinner.

Its because of the white outline around the mythic rares. :P

Open both images on your browser on different tabs and switch between them. You will notice that the mythic symbol is visibly smaller due to the white border.

Looks like they used an inside border on the Mythic, versus the outside border. Which gives it the look of actually being smaller.

Darn you optical illusions.

It's the white border. It's always like that.

Good Lord, close this thread.

Are we going to have the same "Oh, posted card that has everything just like real cards but set symbol" every single spoiler season from now on? Will be necessary to stick out on Rumor Mill every set symbol and say in big letters that mythics has a white border?
Also, why do people tend to argue after a card was confirmed true or fake? I remember last saturday, the guys trying to say that the Orzhov card was real, but couldn't even see that the artist name was written in Times New Roman.
