Gideon looks so bad. (Not the actual card, but the art and the way his name goes all the way to the converted mana cost part of the card...it looks like a really sloppily made card on MSE.)
I use the Duels Of The Planeswalkers layout, though I'm right-handed and keep my deck and GY to the left. I dare you to ask me how tempting it is to hold flying creatures in a floating pattern over the table.

Gideon is no where near as good as people are saying he is. In the control mirror he is very unimpressive, and he also has NO way of protecting himself at all. That's bad... Especially in this format.

Um, the original Gideon also did not "protect himself" and was generally a 5-mana fog in the control mirror.

When it escaped, the experimenters hesitated. It would cause untold havoc, yet they wished to see it in action.
Clan defiance is the only one with constructed playability

Clan Defiance should have been mythic if only for limited but I guess Domri took the Gruul Mythic spot.

Doesn't offer the same defense that Gideon 1.0 did, but still looks cool.

And of course, Gideon is nuts.
Kind of a shame he's still mono-W,
but he's a great evolution of the original.

Clan Defiance and the Guildmage are pretty awesome though.
Clan Defiance is pretty fantastic too, three targets for one! Zameck Guildmage is going to be fantastic for Simic too.
