So the GTC name and number crunch shows one slot left in nonbasic land at #248/249, in between Stomping Ground and Watery Grave. All the shocks and guildgates have known collectors' numbers by now, and this is the one remaining slot.
Which brings us to the question. If it's a reprint, what could it be?
There are a pile of cards that belong to cycles within this range, refer to non-Ravnican places (e.g. Tendo Ice Bridge), are currently standard legal already (e.g. Vault of the Archangel), are way too broken and banned (e.g. Strip Mine), or are on the reserved list (e.g. Thawing Glaciers, Undiscovered Paradise), and they're all out. Of those that remain...
I'm wondering if it's going to be Terramorphic Expanse here, TBH. They love printing that thing, and we haven't seen it outside of Planechase/Commander/Duel Decks since M11.
Wouldn't evolving wilds and terramorphic expanse be redundant?
Yes. But that's what we said last time they had both in Standard together too (Terramorphic in M11, Wilds in Rise of the Eldrazi).
So there's precedence for both being Standard-legal at the same time. That said, there was probably more of an argument for it back then, with landfall still being a thing.
It was at that moment that I realized: I'm kinda just making these things up. We can just write the rules the way we want them to work. People will have fun, and people will get it.
It probably won't be a reprint.
Since SoM, they have been printing 1 new colourless nonbasic land, in each set.
Expect a card like underground's passage, cathedral, phyrexian core, inkmoth nexus, contested warzone etc

This.
Seriously, limited don't need more fixing than it already have. So it will be probably a colorless utility land.

I don't know about that. I'm not a big fan of Transguild Promenade but sometimes in Limited you still need to run it. Since Gatecrash is in may ways a mirror of RTR, in that they both are large sets that are drafted alone and contain 5 guilds , I would be shocked if there isn't a similar color-fixing land in GTC.
Tectonic Edge and Terramorphic Expanse doesn't fit the flavor of Ravnica (Zendikar is known of its unstable and explosive nature), neither does Terrain Generator. Tower of the Magistrate fits in flavor, but the effect does nothing in Ravnica want to do (flavor) or in effect (protection from what?). And shouldn't Swarmyard be printed in Return to Ravnica (golgari), and not Gatecrash?
I'm hoping for a new colorless card with some neutral effect, or a land with extort (ETB tapped, T: 1, Extort)
Unstable Frontier would be a decent addition as an okay filtering land to mirror Transguild. I wouldn't be surprised to see a new version of it or Shimmering Grotto though.

Nothing. All I want is Heroes vs. Monsters spoilers.
To me, it seems like the perfect card to print in an environment with ridiculous mana pools. Remember it was just an uncommon. Regardless of how it's blown up in legacy...

but unrealistic: Vesuva, Wasteland. In Magical Christmas Land, we all have five playsets of both of these cards. How sweet it would be...
somewhat realistic: Temple of the False God, Tower of the Magistrate. Tower of the Magistrate has my vote. It has plenty of uses in EDH and is a very awesome and unique land in general. And imho it wouldn't completely violate Ravnica flavor--sigh, I'd love a return to Mercadia...
However, given their recent track record, I think we can guess it'll be a brand new colorless-producing land, similar to Rogue's Passage. If not, perhaps a Pillar of the Paruns throwback; something more restricted like Ancient Ziggurat as opposed to City of Brass or Reflecting Pool, because we don't need any more fixing in standard, thank you very much! In any case, I don't expect it to be as high impact as Inkmoth Nexus.
My guess is it's gonna be a new land. Someone already mentioned the possibility of it being a land that fetches Gates, and I think that is fairly likely. Of course, that's my second guess; my first guess is that it is an Orzhov land (perhaps Vizkopa itself) with Extort.

Transguild Promenade seems likely to me. It fits the flavor of the set, and it makes a lot of sense for limited.
Seconded, if its not a new land, its Transguild. RTR/RTR/RTR used it, GCR/GCR/GCR will too.
It'd make sense as the "rare" common on the sheet if that was the case as well. They simply put it in that slot so that way it can be printed in both sets, maybe with alternate art in both.
We have Evolving Wilds in two sets in the current standard, they only have those incase they ever hit a situation where they need 8 of for the standard mana fixing, and we are definitely NOT in that kind of spot at the moment, I highly doubt Terramorphic will take that slot.

Funny, I always assumed Transguild Promenade was a reprint. Guess what.
I dont think it will be printed in this set too though.
Look at it for Limited purposes.
It existed solely for Limited RTR/RTR/RTR, it would make sense to be in there for GCR/GCR/GCR especially if it is the (121st?) common that tends to be much rarer than the rest.
