Always been my favorite R/G general to be honest. I was inspired to rebuild the deck when Clan Defiance was first spoiled, but wanted to wait until Gatecrash was fully spoiled to actually build the list.
How does one play this deck?
Sit on Roshi, cast X spells, burn players out. Remove things, make fatties, kill people. Not really the most complex deck I've ever made, though it is admittedly less narrow than most of the decks I've made.
Nuances of the Deck
-When going all-in on an X spell that damages yourself, try to make sure you can race opponents who have lifegain. You have big fatties to destroy them with, so send them at those players. You want to be significantly ahead of the board on life when you kill someone with an X spell that hurts yourself.
-Don't go crazy with Genesis Wave unless you have at least one Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle active. You don't want to deck yourself, and the card is mostly in there to get triggers from Valakut.
-Don't pull the trigger on your removal too early; always hit important targets and make sure you can deal with any repercussions you may incur. In multiplayer, removal is a very shaky thing to use politically; be smart when using it.
