I think that he will be a 3/3 for 1B a lot of the time, but him being a 1/1 against creaturelight decks makes me nto want to include him in aggro, which is where i want my huge vanilla two drops. There is a lot of feelbnad in this card but i think it might be good.
I don't wanna be stuck with a 1/1 for 1B against control so I'm reluctant to include this.
Seems like a sideboard-only card to me, which means it doesn't make it in my cube. A 1/1 on 2 is just so abysmal that the late-game upside just doesn't seem worth it (and yes, Tarmogoyf starts as an 0/1, but it also grows more consistently and keys off of both graveyards). All they'd have to do to make me consider this is add one power, but you know what they say about ifs and buts.
We play a decent amount of 2HG sealed when we only have 4 players, and Wight a lot better there. I'm fine with each color having a few "better in multiplayer" cards just for that situation.
I think this is a good deal better then boneyard wurm, but i still dont think it is good enough. It needed either another point of power, or a keyword.
FWIW, if you still run things like Wretched Anurid or this other 3/3 thing that gets -1/-1 until EOT when someone plays a spell (EDIT: Blind Creeper!), then this could be an interesting replacement.
Not sure that anyone does, though.
That doesn't seem like an upgrade at all - those creatures aim to deal as much damage in the early game as possible and Wight is abysmal at that.
I like Wretched Anurid more than this, no doubt about it. It's a close one but I think he'll be a 1/1 and 2/2 too many times for him to make the cut, though at least he's not a Boneyard Wurm, which is sometimes a 0/0 and in the wrong color.
Rather than considering this as an on curve aggro guy, would he be good as a cheap finisher for control decks? He seems like he'd only be bad in the control mirror, and easily a 4/4 or better for 2 later in the majority of games against aggro or midrange builds.
When I see Healing Salve, I'm often like "Oh girl, I wish I could turn every card into this." Thanks they removed the gain life part, otherwise this would have been broken.
I think reliable is the keyword too. Wight won't always be the fatty you want it to be because a lot of decks don't run a bunch of creatures.
A lot? Isn't that dependant on the cube itself and how it's drafted? Yes, control decks are usually built with just a few finishers and maybe some early utility/defensive guys. But I often see half aggro decks in 4 person drafts and you are probably one of the more midrange/controlly decks if you pick this guy. I Winston my cube a fair bit too which almost always leads to creature centric decks. I'm by no means saying the guy is top 10 material, but may be a decent card.
Tarmogoyf-light? In a colour that has discard and creature removal?

On spoiled card wishlisting and 'should-have-had'-isms:
I agree with all of this.

yes but the point is, if you're playing him later than turn 2 you might as well go with a much more reliable option.

Yep, pretty much - it's a lot better than most things currently sitting in that slot for multiplayer. It's probably third or fourth there (fighting with Reassembling Skeleton, Bloodghast, Gatekeeper of Malakir and Abyssal Gatekeeper).
