I wanted to do a comic on him, but I can't even seem to find out what RACE he is. Is he a goblin or a young man, or what? There seems to be no information about him on the web (that I could find, anyway). Is mentioned in a book?
Yes, irritatingly, they didn't say a damn thing about him on the article they premiered him on. Instead, they just had to say about what crappy decks you could shove him in.
There's been a lot of griping about that, and I hope that Wizards has taken note that people want to KNOW about their characters more than what strategy you can be told about.

But people are starting to noticeably CARE about their characters. A victory for us I'd say.

I'm hoping we'll never have an interminable period like this.
After all, they listened to us about Liliana of the Dark Realms being seriously off character and hired somebody to double check the suite of abilities walkers end up with.
The story is always completely secondary to the games for me, however the story is what drives my interest in Magic the Gathering when I am not playing. It is very irritating when they introduce a new main character and give nothing, not even one of those mysterious backgrounds like Arcanis got. Story is what drives a huge part of the game.
That speaks to Wizards' (and to a lesser extent players') priorities. What's important to them, and what's not.
There's your comic.
Yeah, I was thinking about doing it that way, but the comic would make less sense if next week they come out with a blurb on him.
If I can think of a way to make the comic make sense even if they DO do that, then I will. However, I can't right now.
The really sad thing about Domri is that I think that at this point, more people are interested in who Fblthp is rather then Domri.

My Commander decks:
Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.
Pir & Toothy - Counterpalooza.
Arcades, the Strategist - Another Brick in the Wall.
Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.
Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
I'm sure today's Uncharted Realms will be about him !
We can hope to get something about him, but if we're going to focus on walkers... I'd much rather focus on Gideon since he has a larger arc going on... and Domri looks like the kind of little punk I'd sooner punch in the face than speak with.

He's so lost and alone!... Just look at him!
I won't lie, I sort of want a story about him.
I'm pretty sure that they will provide at least a tidbit of information on him at some point.
At this point, I just see him as a awkward/strange planewalker that no one really knows anything about.

Yeah, I was really glad to hear that. A swamps-matter walker could have been a cool new character, instead of just being one of the least popular iterations of Liliana.
I figure at some point we'll have to get something, even if it's a one paragraph blub like we got for Tamiyo.
There is also something about Vraska but I think not much that we did not know already but if she is on the list maybe in a few weeks they will add Domri too.

Thanks to DarkNightCavalier from Heroes of the Plane Studios for this sick Signature.

I actually had to tell Brady that she wasn't on the list even though I'd found the page that had gone live.
Technically too, there is a little more about Vraska on the page than what we knew before hand, mostly in dealing with how she operates now and what she does on other planes.
any possibility that we may get something about him in the second part of the return to ravnica book?

Hard to say without knowing where the focus is going to drift. That being said, the way things are orchestrated, I don't feel it's likely. The gruul just have such a disconnect to what else is going on there, that it would come across more contrived than the others.
That being said, we won't have to wait that long, at the very latest, we're almost certainly going to get an entry about him in the Fat Pack insert.
I'm basing this from Stomping Ground's flavor text. The way he calls Gruul his home sounds to me like he discovered Gruul, instead of being born there.
I'm pretty sure that's *not* him on Frenzied Tilling, and I question Madcap Skills. (I can't tell if that's a shadow or his trademark mohawk, and the armor on the right shoulder seems off.)
Really all we can gather from the flavor text is that he's aligned himself with the Gruul.

Madcap skills is a rakdos card. You can tell by the trademark checker pattern on the armor.
And the fact that the juggling stick is a flaming femur.

He grabs a creature, then he makes them fight other creatures. He obviously loves fast creatures (haste), hard hitters (double strike), creatures that run through things (trample), and creatures that are a headache for opponents (hexproof).
He's Michael Vick.
That joke's right on the line of inappropriate. Let's not go there.

I'm betting he's not from Ravnica.

Frenzied Tilling maybe ?
from what we have from these cards i would say that he is a punk that likes to destroy ravinica's streets and to be with beasts

Pardon my ignorance, but what is Fblthp?
Pauper: UR some horrible homebrew izzet deck
K thanks. I guess between Fblthp and Oglor someone at development has a soft spot for homunculi.
Don't we all, though?
