It isn't really openly offensive. The subject matter is kind of irrelevant to the fact that the commercial was just creepy to begin with. That could have been about the anniversary of HBO's birth and I'd still have been just as uncomfortable watching it.
I believe that I have enough social competence to slip into a party or two, potentially wooing some attractive females that would not mind spending the evening performing the booty dance on me.
Call me dense but I don't get it. Or why it's so offensive. And being the fact that I'm socially conservative, I find that really shocking that I don't see what you guys are seeing.
I'm amazed at the number of dislikes on YouTube. And I don't find this offensive at all, interesting yes, and funny. I'm personally glad about Roe hitting 40 years. An amazing mark in the history of women's health.

I guess it's offensive because it's celebrating 40 years of dead babies? Or it's offensive because it's a guy trying to seduce his 40 year old woman after having a history of abortions, and they know that if they get pregnant again tonight that they'll just have another abortion?
I dunno, that's what I'm getting from the comments section.
It's celebrating 40 years of a case that changed the course of women's health, but done in what I believe is a funny way. It's not celebrating "dead babies" and there isn't a man hitting on other men. It's celebrating the freedom of choice for a woman to make choices regarding her own body and health. I really think a lot of you are grasping for reasons to find this commercial to be offensive.

I'm just elaborating on the information I am finding. Because I honestly don't understand it. lol.
I mean, in what way does having a seductive male talking to the audience as if he's talking to a long time lover while drinking wine celebrate abortion? Is abortion romantic now? It's more bizarre than offensive.
'Celebrate abortion' is a bit misleading. 'Celebrate a piece of legislation that gives women the right to choose to have an abortion if they wish to' is what he's actually doing.
That doesn't make it any less bizarre, but there we go.
This is exactly what I'm saying, and exactly what the ad is trying to do. Clearly anybody that can't see this (pro choice or pro life) just doesn't understand it.

Personally, what I meant by creepy was the whole "Oooooh abortion is sexxxyyyyy" vibe going on there. I'm pretty sure that, no matter how you feel about the subject, that would be a creepy fetish.

I still don't understand that. I'm not getting an "abortion is sexy" vibe. The whole sexy aspect is the legislation. The fact that it has been around for 40 years. They never say killing unborn babies is sexy.

I don't get it either. Not my style of advertisement, but it seemed to just be talking about how treasured a landmark decision that has been challenged and fought for is.

Heck, women's rights is sexy.
Let's not be vague. We're not talking about "women's rights" as some abstract platonic concept. We're talking about killing a fetus.
So please explain how society enabling a woman to kill a fetus is sexy.
Getting too close to debate territory to really explain in detail, so I'll be vague.
Giving women the same fundamental rights that everyone has is awesome, and trying to go out of your way to make fundamental rights seem like a bad thing doesn't change that.
Quirky humour, probably trying to bring a bit of levity. This is something that should be celebrated, and although it is a weird way to go about it, it is still positive. Reaction from the social conservatives/prolifers is hilarious though and worth the price of admission.
Take your monoblack deck, then set aside 14 swamps. Add 4 Creeping Tar Pits, 4 Darkslick Shores, 4 Drowned Catacombs, and 2 Jwar isle Refuge and add 4 Jace, the Mindsculptors. Your monoblack deck is instantly better. Better yet, drop those refuges, throw in some islands and some mana leaks, and lo and behold, you're now playing a real deck. Congratulations. Welcome to the world of competitive M:TG.

Are men even capable of having an abortion? lol. So who is "everyone" that already had the rights of having an abortion that brought women in line with through this legislation?

The right I am referring to is that of bodily autonomy. Abortion is required in order for women to have that.
Because the opposition to your argument would say they are not "killing" anything at all. I don't agree with it, but that's the other side.
The best pro choice arguments don't argue this, because it's not true.

Eastwood territory right here. Probably worse, given the subject matter is life and death. Geez, have a little dignity, why don't ya? SMH.

Which of the above statements is false?
If it is not true that abortion means the killing of a fetus, then what does it mean? I wouldn't have thought such a statement was controversial.
