Vote for the poem(s) you feel is the best (up to two). Remember to adhere to the "Honor Code" when voting.
While it is understood there is no absolute means to monitor the intent of a vote, we ask each PRC participant to exercise integrity when voting out of respect for the contest:
- Please give each poetry submission an equal opportunity in attaining your vote.
- Please read, or at least skim, all the entries before voting.
- Please do not vote for your friends just because they're your friends.
The Poetry Running Contest puts good faith in its participants to act in an honorable manner.
Contestants, remember, you are required required to vote (and you can't vote for yourself)!
Happy voting!

Really sorry about the delay, been pretty busy, and sick these last couple days- I started on this last night then fell asleep at the keyboard and had to jet to not be late.
I've been trying to make up my mind on the whole, "Edited and resubmitted," I mean it obviously has been changed and the ideas and presentation are not quite the same, but its more or less the same poem. So I've decided to allow it, but if it wins, it will not count towards a trophy. Just a heads up, Pancakes. Still trying to decide how I'll handle this in the future, I'll be working on that in the coming days.

Completely understandable. If anything I'd appreciate the feedback moreso than an actual win. I felt it was a piece worth revising and resubmitting, so I put it back up there in the contest to give it another go.
Probably my favorite week in a while. Two new poets, a rare visit from Piercy (the prodigal son of our little nook of MTGS), and some solid writing. Still trying to decide who to vote for.
Blippy, you cheeky bastard, I laughed and hated myself for it. Pretty much the way your poetry is supposed to be read, I guess.
Preve was inspired, has one of my votes, at least. Lit the page on fire in his paced, rather introspective way.
Trabant and Dimensional both had admirable freshman attempts. Trabant mentioned he had trouble "making the poem more aesthetically pleasing," and I can see where a more defined structure would've helped, but not a bad poem by any means. Dimensional, I see the ideas, but the writing hasn't quite caught up. More exotic rhyme schemes are good ways to stretch and push yourself and your word choice, and I encourage you to lean more on figurative language to express your ideas.
Puffs, MUCH better this time around. Felt very focused, expressing a wealth of ideas as a single, paraphrased dialogue, and just excellently executed. Dimensional, I'd advise you to look here for some ideas on how to handle AABB rhyme schemes- you have to be precise with your rhythm in order to keep it from falling flat.
Piercy, not your best, wasn't quite feeling the imagery this week. Always a pleasure to read your work though.
So yeah, I'll submit my vote once I decided where my second one is gonna go.
Snap-voting for Blippy because that poem is so dirty and morbid that I couldn't contain myself and I got weird looks from my family when I started laughing at my laptop.
For the second I want to vote for Piercy for the first few lines of his poem but I felt that tone fell off in the middle.
I voted for piercy... I didn't realize that I could only vote the one time, oh well. I don't really have enough experience to critic anyone but I think my second vote would have went to preve if I could

This happens fairly often, generally speaking, all you have to do is ask and I'll count your second vote. In the future, remember: up to two. No need to cast two, but it's an option.
Here are the Poetry submissions for this week:
Breakfast in Bed by Blippytheslug
Logic by Preve
The Untouchables by Trabant777
Untitled by i PiercyX
Disconnect by Talore
Identity by 4thdimensionalbubble

Go ahead and run, you'll only die tired.
Those who might never meet are pooled together
I was referring to the double entendre at the end. Even if it isn't what you literally meant, it is still presented. I quite liked it.
