The product was just announced on Sunday, in Pro Tour Gatecrash in-between-rounds by Hill and Sutcliffe, and it was made to celebrate the twenty years of MtG.
Contents and Details
- Twenty premium foil cards, including some with new art.
- An exclusive Spindown life counter.
- A collector's guide.
- Each card has been printed using a foil process unique to the From the Vault series.
- The twenty cards are all printed in the current card frame. For some, it is for the first time.
- From the Vault: Twenty will be available worldwide in English only, and will have an extremely limited print run.
- All cards are black bordered and tournament legal. This means that these cards are legal for use in any tournaments where the original printings are still legal.
20 cards
Cards taken from championship winning decks over the course of Magic's history.
Exclusive art shown from Pro Tour Gatecrash depicts an old lady mage holding a skinny green staff casting a blue spell of sorts.
Yeah, i'd put money down on MoR for sure. The other one for her styling would be Noble Hierarch (Green staff, white hair, blue magic), but my guess is that she is printed on Modern Masters so a FTV of her wouldn't make much sense.
I really hate Wizards adding the $39.99 whatever MSRP on these announcements. They're not stupid and they know that's not what it's going to be sold to us for.
Also, that art is probably Force of Will. The magic focused around her forehead and her body language in the picture pretty much suggests that in itself. The recent MTGO art doesn't mean much, since it could very well be one they chose to give unique artwork to for the sake of the FTV series.
And since the stream chat was exploding with ignorance: They already put Mystical Tutor and Necropotence in FTW series, and Tarmogoyf is already being reprinted in Modern Masters.

They already printed Necropotence in FTV:Exiled though

i think they said that it was a card from each year from a pro tour winning deck/championship winning deck
Also I wonder if they would reprint anything that already got the FTV treatment before.
