What is the theme and why?
- Board Control, Enchantment win-cons, Enchantress draw engine, and cheating/tutoring answers.
- Toolbox style deck rather than relying on Sigarda to carry you to victory.
Why you would want to play this style:
- Enjoy toolbox styles
- Does not rely on the commander; commander is secondary
- Non-stop global hate after hate after hate.
- Once you get rolling, you get rolling
- Humility...'nuff said.
- Multiplayer and Casual settings
Cons/Issues:
- Not 1v1 friendly. Can be slow. Removal of key early creatures/enchantments can hurt.
- Will be ganged up on because of global hate.
How it works:
Sigarda is the alt-win con. There have been plenty of games where my enchantments and creatures were destroyed, stolen, exiled, etc and then Sigarda comes down and they are out of gas to remove her. In most cases, there are better spells to cast than getting Sigarda out. Drawing card after card after card not only helps find answers, but also accelerates our game plan to control and overwhelm the board.
I draw a lot of hate when I shut down artifacts or disable the board; therefore, Femeref Enchantress would be nice to add (but I can't control the card draw and could be a dead card).
No card I really want or need to add. No one I have seen yet used their graveyard extensively nor have I feared any mill decks to want to add Wheel of Sun and Moon.
Opalescence & Parallax Wave: I really want to stay away from infinite combos unless I start to see other decks I can't handle (as in their infinite combos). But it seems too good to pass up in this type of deck.......
In every game, my stuff is pretty much the first stuff to be looked at then destroyed. Greater Auramancy has screwed me over, but offers great protection. Privileged Position seems like an auto add...but is it too mana intensive?
As I am currently light on removal, I feel Story Circle would come in handy to buy some time. Especially with Dueling Grounds out
I feel I am too light on removal; both single target and mass. Both Krosan Grip and Beast Within Seem like auto adds. I'd like to add Crib Swap as it doesn't give a land to them unlike Path to Exile (I sometimes have issues with indestructible creatures).
Creatures:
+ Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger: high impact, immediate threats, accelerator, and easily choice fetched via Defense of the Heart
+ Oracle of Mul Daya: faster than the cheap enchantments
+ Azusa, Lost but seeking: same as Oracle, speeds things up and synergizes with other added cards to play/fetch lands.
+ Linvala, Keeper of Silence: global hate, love it.
+ Gaddock Teeg: With him on the board with Sigarda, /drool. A must answer and more global shutdown. Easily fetched with the current list of cards.
Enchantments - Auras:
+ Hyena Umbra: Exchanged Hyena Umbra with Eland Umbra because of the lower cost; just wanted a cheap totem armor for enchantresses
- Eland Umbra: see Hyena Umbra
- Eldrazi Conscription: removing as it is too one dimensional. Only fetched with Auratouched Mage (which is now gone). Too much to cast if not fetched and that 8 mana is better spent on a high end creature to protect the theme.
- Fertile Ground & Wild Growth: These auras are coming down before Kor and the enchantresses and are 1 time benefits only. Great for a nice start but can run out of steam a turn after they land. Brought in more consistent mana. Also, makes lands high value targets targets.
- Flickerform: Didn't do much and was hard to keep 4 mana open.
Enchantments- global:
+ Burgeoning - re-added- another way for more land drops.
+ Exploration - can't wait to play with this
Artifact:
- Grafdiggers' Cage: mixed feelings about this card. Initially had it because of a few (1 or 2) cards that were frustrating to deal with. But with the proper removal, more protection, and becoming faster should be more proactive.
Instants:
No changes
Sorceries:
+ Kodama's Reach & Cultivate: With the added ways to drop multiple lands a turn, these allow me to bring in 2 lands for 3 mana (well at least 1 untapped).
- Day of Judgment: hasn't done a whole lot
- Genesis Wave: Only decent as a late card.
Ghostly Prison - need an early play to prevent early damage
(-) Utopian Sprawl - removed due to land destruction Lignify - reactive aura, can be removed due to pinging and other enchantment hate and then that creature is still around. Open the Vaults - seeing how things work out now to see if I need this Cultivate - don't need 2 Dueling Grounds - wasn't doing a whole lot
Thank you for this list. I run an extensive list of artifact hate and might be potentially adding in more (as in Creeping Corrosion). I do not own any of the swords, but if I was to add one, it would be Sword of Feast and Famine (however, Bear Umbra is similar with the land untapping).
I do not see what I could take out of my list of auras or global enchantments that would fit the theme without trying to go around Stony Silence, Damping Matrix, and Null Rod.
Cards that I would replace: Scute Mob, Burgeoning, Explore, Secluded Steppe, Tranquil Thicket. You don't have any real land theme, and these cards are weakening your voltron strategy. I would also add AT LEAST one more land, if not two.

"Psychologically, you have to have confidence in yourself and this confidence should be based on fact." -- Bobby Fischer
Sword isn't really better than bear umbra as it has to damage to untap. Sword also might make your auras from falling off. Consider using defense to get your enchantresses online since you don't really need big creatures to swing. Consider looking at my deck list in my signatures for ideas. And don't hesitate to ask questions.

I do not want any swords as I run a global hate for activations of all kinds.
What defense do you have in mind for the enchantresses? I might re-add indestructibility for example. I see in your list has a potential card that I do not have: Flickerform. what is your take on it?
Also: I think I will add City of Solitude. For me, it is another layer of control (to my theme)
How has Abundance worked out for you? I could see myself replacing Burgeoning for that card.
Ok, list of cards I will be cutting (let me know if I should try and keep them depending on what I am adding):
Land: Tranquil Thicket, Secluded Steppe: I get no real benefit of cycling and it comes into play tapped. Rather be able to use lands at mana syncs.
Creature: Scute Mob, Thrun, the Last Troll: Tested out Scute and did not really help me at all. Not really within the theme and rather have a creature with immediate effects. Thrun...he has won me a game once. However, I am not really a voltron deck and my auras are limited.
Enchantment (non-aura): Martyr's Bond, Soul Snare, Night soil, Leyline of Sanctity,Sphere of Safety, Burgeoning: Martyr has not once helped me, soul snare is only a 1 time use on 1 creature, I have not come across really back GY abuse yet to justify Night Soil, Leyline of Sanctity hasn't done a whole lot in prevention, sphere of safety is easily bypassed because I don't really have more than 4 or 5 enchantments down, and taking people's suggestion to remove burgeoning for abundance.
Enchantments (aura): Spirit Loop: Hasn't done a whole lot for me...I could be wrong for taking this out. I still have armadillo cloak.
Sorcery: Explore: have enough mana accelerators. Rather have an enchantment that does a similar effect.
----------------
Adding:
Land: Forest (full art!!!), Arid Mesa (I picked up a damaged one for $2).
Creature: Avacyn, Angel of Hope: wanted a creature that none only has board presence, but also protects my enchantresses. Plus, I will be adding Defense of the Heart
Instead of adding more mana ramp find ways for popping down more lands. With your enchantress draws, you will have more lands than you need or play. I have removed ramp over exploration and burgeoning as they allow me to have multiple land drops.
Abundance is great late game when you have tons of mana and can machine gun down enchantments all over the place. It also synergizes with sylvan library. Personally I would remove eldrazi conscription as u find that its too high of a mana cost and i still have to swing twice with Sigarda to kill. Consider replacing with battle mastery

Would you mind identifying which cards I currently have that fall into that category and which 'ramp' does not?
Personally I would remove eldrazi conscription as u find that its too high of a mana cost and i still have to swing twice with Sigarda to kill. Consider replacing with battle mastery
The main reason why I have eldrazi conscription is a quasi-alternate wincon. When I drop Auratouched Mage, I usually tutor for eldrazi conscription and forces to have it answered. I have been able to get the mage down turn 3. And if she does die before I swing, our recurring enchantment spells (from GY to field) put it right back on another creature.
But you are right, would be an ok cut, and try and rely on the 2 wincons: sigarda and 4/4 angels.
The reason that I rank them in this order is because exploration and burgeoning are enchantments and will get you a draw with and enchantress out where as oracle and azusa will not. Exploration is higher than burgeoning because it lets you drop lands even if your opponents won't. Oracle is above azusa because it gives you the opportunity of playing lands from the top of your library so you can draw into more enchantments or stuff you need (also good with abundance so you know if you want the top card or not)

i personally dont really like eldrazi conscription or aura touched mage as i dont really have a way of moving auras around other than recurring them from grave (i need auratog to get that going) and conscription is still a two shot
cards that i dont fancy

Faith fetters has been my all-in-answer. Ill try my new deck setup without khal and Steve.

Have removed some of the following. Re-added Burgeoning as I shifted the deck more-so have faster land drops.
I needed another way to protect the enchantresses. Also, I can cast it nonstop in a turn and keep drawing cards. Reactive enchantment....
Last night I was acutally looking at Ajani's chosen. I was considering adding it to diversify card types (creature, artifact, enchantment balance) in the deck. I do not run a whole lot of auras, but I can see a benefit if they use spot removal to kill the token as the enchantment is moving to it. Unless they can;t respond to me moving it - could you give me a ruling?
Primeval Bounty - seems like a win more card. However, if I am left unchecked with that card out, it will get out of hand. My only worry is that with my lack of creature cards, I would be stacking the 1/1 counters on a limited amount of creatures which will be wiped away. Plus, I only get a beast when casting a creature - I have token produces and a way to cheat in my fatties. For your sake, I will give it a try ;p
Well, not sure how this will translate over to EDH, but I watched a few standard games of a jund deck playing just mass removal, mana dorks, and ramp with the win con being.... Primeval bounty.
Nice synergy between mutavault and the enchantment as when he would cast a noncreature spell, he would use mutavaultto activate itself so it would get the counters.

I usually cast her when I can protect her from counter magic, destroy spells, and larger creatures. Cavern of Souls, Yavimaya Hollow, Molting Skin, Shield Of the Oversoul, Indestructibility, Hyena Umbra, Gaddock Teeg, Avacyn, Angel of Hope. First and foremost, protect the enchantresses, then key enchantments, and lastly Sigarda.
Early global hate allows us to pull ahead. Early combination of the following hamper most decks early game plans: Damping Matrix, Null Rod, Torpor Orb, Stony Silence, Humility, Aura of Silence, Linvala, Keeper of Silence, and/or Gaddock Teeg.

Enchantment (non-aura): Abundance, City of Solitude, Mirari's Wake, Defense of the Heart, Molting Skin: Abundance to replace Burgeoning, City of Solitude for more control, Mirari's WAke for on the curve mana acceleration, Defense of the Heart to cheat in Avacyn, Angel of Hope, Sun titan, utility creature, and/or enchantresses, and Molting Skin for the ability to reuse regeneration.
Enchantment (aura): Indestructibility, Eland Umbra, Flickerform: added protection for enchantresses and Sigarda.
Instant/Sorcery: Crop Rotation and/or Sylvan Scrying. I want a way to fetch nonbasic lands such as Reliquary Tower, Serra's Sanctum, Kor Haven, and/or Yavimaya hollow.
^^^As you can see, 12 cards are coming, and 13 are in the add section. I might leave out either Eland Umbra or Crop Rotation.
edit: Will be adding Cavern of Souls instead of adding the forest.

GWSigarda, Host of EnchantressGW[Primer]
Would you mind identifying which cards I currently have that fall into that category and which 'ramp' does not?
The main reason why I have eldrazi conscription is a quasi-alternate wincon. When I drop Auratouched Mage, I usually tutor for eldrazi conscription and forces to have it answered. I have been able to get the mage down turn 3. And if she does die before I swing, our recurring enchantment spells (from GY to field) put it right back on another creature.
But you are right, would be an ok cut, and try and rely on the 2 wincons: sigarda and 4/4 angels.

By order of what I like
The reason that I rank them in this order is because exploration and burgeoning are enchantments and will get you a draw with and enchantress out where as oracle and azusa will not. Exploration is higher than burgeoning because it lets you drop lands even if your opponents won't. Oracle is above azusa because it gives you the opportunity of playing lands from the top of your library so you can draw into more enchantments or stuff you need (also good with abundance so you know if you want the top card or not)

Thank you. Re-adding Burgeoning. The other 3 I will be keeping my eyes out for when trading.
What cards do you see as 'drops'?
I was thinking of Wild Growth, Fertile Ground, Eldrazi Conscription, Auratouched Mage, Indestructibility, Greater Auramancy, Green Sun's Zenith, and Genesis Wave. Any of these worth keep? (might keep Indestructibility. GWave and GSZ have been ok.... and GSZ usually just tutor an enchantress... thoughts on these?)
I have Kodama's Reach to add (and what are your thoughts on Awakening Zone? - I already have Khalni Heart Expedition and hasn't really failed me).
Wanted to add more global hate via Linvala, Keeper of Silence and Gaddock Teeg. With Thrun, the Last Troll as another creature that I can heavily enchant as people wait for me to play Sigarda.............. ;p

- Sakura-Tribe Elder: added better land drops
- Auratouched Mage: 1 dimensional and with Eldrazi Conscription, useless now.
Lands:
No changes, just alphabetized the list.

I did pick that card up. I wanted to go with Unquestioned Authority as it drew me a card. I would add that if I went towards more of an Aura deck.

(+)
Seedborn muse - meta call. lots of stax decks
Leyline of Sanctity - need a way to make myself hexproof
Burgeoning - removed land auras to produce mana
Grafdigger's Cage + Ground Seal: Wasn't sure which one to go with. Going to test out both and see.
Ghostly Prison - need an early play to prevent early damage
(-)
Utopian Sprawl - removed due to land destruction
Lignify - reactive aura, can be removed due to pinging and other enchantment hate and then that creature is still around.
Open the Vaults - seeing how things work out now to see if I need this
Cultivate - don't need 2
Dueling Grounds - wasn't doing a whole lot

Have you tried primeval bounty or ajani's chosen?
EDH
GWSigarda, Host of EnchantressGW[Primer]

Could do the same with manlands in EDH?

I need at least 2 'finisher' creatures that I can either use Defense of the Heart to pull out or tutor and play in the late game.
I recently had Vorinclex - but he would usually just piss off one person rather than threaten the board as a whole.
I added but have not tried him out yet - Avenger of Zendikar.
What are some big impact creatures that would work?
