**South of the great road, surrounded by western most end of the Southern Forest, sits the fabled Codian Graveyard.
Ages ago, even before the formation of the Clerics and Initiates, The Codians were the wealthiest family in all of Bakara. All were baffled when they turned over the bulk of their massive estate over to the cities of Elexia and Epicrin for use as a ceremonial burial ground. Half the building were plowed under the rest, those around the perimeter, were turned into housing for the caretakers, groundskeepers, priests, and guards that man the place. That is except for the central Manorhouse, which remained untouched at the center of the property.
Since then, uncountable souls have found their eternal rest in Codian Soil, and the Codians still live amongst them, most of their wealth squandered for the centuries.
Protected by a 10' tall enchanted wrought iron gate, and manned by guards at all hours of the day, it is still somehow regularly desecrated, graveyrobbed and vandalized on a regular basis.**

Guard - Not really. One minute everything was normal....or as normal as things can get around here, then the next minute the east wing of the manor house was taken out by a fiery explosion. Luckily the family was visiting Sylvan at the time so no one was physically hurt... As for afterwards, well, I don't think it relevant....

Guard - After the fire we discovered there had been a disturbance at the paupers field around the same time. A nearly two dozen bodies had been disinterred and left there. One would assume graverobbers, but those dead had nothing to rob, all prisoners, the unidentified, and vagrants.

**Re'as, who had been present but until then had left the talking to Morgan, spoke up.**
Re'as - "Was anything done to the bodies?"

Sing lustily and with good courage.
Be aware of singing as if you were half dead,
or half asleep:
but lift your voice with strength.
Be no more afraid of your voice now,
nor more ashamed of its being heard,
than when you sang the songs of Satan.
Guard - Not so far we could tell, but they were all buried years ago, so their condition was, lets just say poor. Not even sure they were all there, there are no markers in that field and the graves can be rather...indistinct. Meanwhile the Codian were throwing fits about the fire, alot of valuable stuff was lost.

Guard - Not sure really, like I said, no markers, Some of them might have been prisoners that died in jail or were executed. Some might have been important folk that went unidentified, Anyone without means or people to bury themselves that died around that time would have been buried there.

Guard - It had once been a seperate servants quarters, back when they had enough servants to warrant one. At the time it was uninhabited, no one wants to live that close to the actual graves....save the Codians.

Re'as - "Was it being used for storage or anything of that nature?"
