+1/+1 Double strike for 2 is not something to laught at. Don't know about standard, do people play the double strike ability on boros charm at sorcery speed a lot?
Sounds neat but given both halves are overcosted I doubt the fuse effects going to see any real play. Still armed will work nicely with bloodrush in limited.
This card is BAMF. So god damn gruul. I would not be surprised if this saw play. Arguably better (more versatile) than revenge of the hunted.

why was this not the name for the boros uncommon/rare? Fits much better there. anyways.....
card is ok for armed, you could force through some damage in a pinch or kill something. lure serves the same purpose except you need a army on the board. and fusing these two? nuts. they lose a bunch of dudes and take a bunch to the face. definitely want to try and reach 6 mana, cause fusing this will swing the game for sure.
Wouldn't the best modes of this card most of the time to give one creature lure, and a whole different creature double strike until end of turn? Seems like you are much more likely to deal lethal damage that way.

I'm starting to get the feeling that Sorcery-speed is going to be the default, with a couple exception like the Boros one? I'm still hoping for something that allows for some Isochron Scepter abuse.
On this card, though, its going to be scary in limited. Double strike and lure in a format full of other combats tricks and several playable auras. I expect to lose to this regularly.
EDIT: I just realized, this is a format where Rakdos Cackler/Dryad Militant into Madcap Skills, swing, into Armed, swing, Slaughterhorn is a thing. Thats the nuts draw, but Gruul has the cards at common/uncommon needed for turn 3 wins, with turn 4 and 5 wins having redundancy.

When I first read it I thought it was a very good limited card. After reading the thread I know it's a limited bomb, and I'd agree. Possibility of Standard play due to two reasonable effects and a game breaking effect.
I'm absolutely loving these Fuse cards. The +1/+1 from Armed is quite relevant, and when fused can give you a mini-Revenge of the Hunted, only you get to pump a different creature. I don't think this one will see constructed play, but it should be quite the finisher in limited.

You don't have to make your opponent block the dude you pumped, make them block your 1/1 and they take the pumped up dude to the face
You can double strike your Thragtusk and lure your Avacyn's Pilgram to get in for 12 double strike damage and get in for the win.
Either kill your opponent's board or get lots of combat damage through to your opponent for 6 mana? Worth it.

Yeah, I agree. I think that's the real key to making this card good.

I agree on the name but the card is definitely Gruul! 100% awesomeness for flavor and ability. Seems like a good finishing combo.
