i want to build this deck because i want to have fun with the double cascade and the haste and i also want a fun multiplayer deck
so what i would like is for input on cards i should add. i do not plan on buying the Duals so please dont mention those. if you would like me to add a card to or remove a card from the deck to complete it also feel free. Also if you could let me know why i should add/remove something
This doesn't work actually. Your guys will come into play as maelstrom wanderers or whatever, but cascade happens when you cast the spell that has it, not when the creature comes into play.
In other words, you're still casting mulldrifter or whatever then it comes into play as maelstrom wanderer and you get no cascades.
Hi, as a fellow wanderer player these cards have served me well
Cyclonic Rift - This card can end games literally
Deadeye navigator - Very good in a deck which plays with a lot of ETB (enter the battlefield effects) Example : DeadEye Navigator souldbound with Venser, shaper servant.
Tezzeret, the seeker - able to tutor mana crypt, sol ring, sensei divining top , swords of x n y, etc etc ...and can untap two artifacts as well
Imperial recruiter - can fetch most of yout utility creatures ex- Eternal witness, Kiki-jiki, Venser, etc etc
Prime Speaker Zegana - insane draw power, works well with deadeye and can be fetched by imperial recruiter.
Blasphemous act - one of the few board wipes found in this colour, another option would be the tribal spell- All is dust
Momentous fall - Life gain and card draw for only 4 mana
Scroll rack - can set up your cascade
mystical tutor - set up your cascade
but at the end of the day, my best advice would to build the deck more suited to your play style.

Thanks for the input. i went ahead and added all your suggestions to my deck with the exceptions of [CARD]
Imperial Recruiter[/CARD] for the price tag & Momentous Fall only because i really dont know if i wanna sac to draw.
since Dragon's Maze got spoiled ive been thinking about Ral Zarek. i really love his +1 and his -2. his ultimate is ok but i will mainly want him or his first 2 abilities.
Is there a card that can make everything colorless in case I pop of an all is dust?
Also been seeing a lot of lists running Karn. Would he be a good option?
Posted from MTGsalvation.com App for Android
All is dust is good to be cascade into because it will resolved before your general, thus clearing the entire board of any coloured permanents before your general enters the battlefied.

Karn is kinda of a douche card but it's good
We don't play wanderer just to get a 7/5 hasty general... you cascade into all is dust and you wipe everything you already have thats not a big deal if all you have is woodelves with a skull clamp on it, losing you birthing pod however sucks even more when you do it to yourself. In Wanderer I am very rarely the one with bad board position.

True, however the fact that Wanderer are always in a good board position means we are going to get targeted. I mean at least that is what usually happens to me, all is dust allows me to even the playing field.
PS : starting to feel the growing hate for wanderer decks.
I see lots of etb effects and no kikki-jikki. I think you should change that. Not to mention he goes infinite with zealous conscripts, which you're already running

Like What? Im New To The Wanderer Play Style. I Usually Run Kaalia.
so i ended up picking up a Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker and was wondering what i could cut to fit him in my list. any suggestions?
I don't like Somberwald Sage. I think mana dorks are generally pretty bad in EDH due to the amount of spot and mass removal. I much prefer permanent ramp either through rampant growth type effects or talismans and signets.
Other cards I think could be cut or replaced:
Blasphemous Act - Can't cascade into it, should rarely be behind the board state in terms of creatures, better options anyway. (Jokulhaups)
Time Reversal - This is a draw seven which is good but your opponents will most likely get value out of it before you do. This can easily be replaced by Time Spiral, shouldn't too hard to acquire one of those. If you want an effective card drawing spell I would recommend Recurring Insight. Can be absolutely broken.
Sun Quan - Cute card and while it does for the most part provide unblockable to your team his body is extremely fragile. For a similarly devastating effect I would suggest Akroma's Memorial. Turns all your dudes into mini (or maxi) Akroma, Angel of Wraths. In the face of a Wrath effect this gets to stick around and provides haste to your team in case Wanderer gets tucked or you can't pay the General tax.
Edric - I admire this guy for his politics but in reality Wanderer is probably going to paint a big target on your head where even this guy won't dissuade people from attacking you. I think this guy just doesn't have a drastic enough ability that is worth the slot and overall an unimpressive cascade.
Mulldrifter - I love the drifter in more fair decks but a 2/2 flier even with drawing 2 cards is only mildly exciting in Wanderer.
Snapcaster Mage - With such a low count of spells I think he might be less than powerful in this type of deck.
Cryptic Command - With Wanderer I usually tap out on my turn and leaving 1UUU open can be hard anyway.
Cards I think are worth consideration:
Godo, Bandit Warlord - His body is fairly mediocre but his ETB effect is devastating. The only equipment I run are Sword of Feast and Famine and Batterskull but either way it's a massive amount of value and makes Wanderer a 4-for-1. Also his other built in ability can be really useful if he is equipped with either of the aforementioned cards.
Brutalizer Exarch - Another mediocre body but a lot of utility. If he's the first spell cascaded by Wanderer he lets you Worldly Tutor for another creature to put on top and be cascaded into. The other ability is useful for tucking problematic non-creature permanents.
Phyrexian Ingester - Another mediocre (base) body but his ETB effect is really super useful for exiling (super relevant for EDH) a dude and pumping himself up in the process. Value on his own and gets really nutty with either Kiki-Jiki or Deadeye Navigator.
Palinchron - Decent evasive flying body but his ETB effect combined with his activated ability makes him very tough to remove. Once again nutty with KJ or DE and in the latter lets you add infinite mana to your mana pool.
Nothing in this game is degenerate or completely dominant. They haven't banned anything in standard in a long, long time. Hell they should have banned affinity right away, but they didn't until boxed sales collapsed too. Hasbro had to come in and fire people.
I'll enjoy watching all the whiners eat crow monday.
I'm not saying Somberwald can't be awesome but he dies to just about everything and there are times when you might need to cast a non-creature spell. Even when he does stick there is variance due to his restrictions and maybe it's silly to talk about randomness when cascading is by default very random but I much prefer the consistency of traditional ramp outlets. In a format where we can have things like Sol Ring, Grim Monolith, Mana Crypt, Ancient Tomb, you can find mana cheaper elsewhere.
And I definitely agree with a balance. I run Sol Ring, Mana Crypt, all three Signets, the R/G Talisman, Darksteel Signet and Coalition Relic. Chromatic Lantern is also very good.

Karn is supposedly awesome in almost any deck, I don't have one to try out though.

Karn is awesome in my Kaalia deck but I didn't know how it would transition to this deck

Very rarely have I thought to myself "I hope someone wraths" with my wanderer deck... its always "oh man please no one have a route"
Wanderer is hated more than he should be, he can be explosive but he can also whiff, people tend to forget the whiffs.
