So what exactly does this card do? Red has never been good on the defensive. I suppose it lets you swing in for an extra point or two...but it only matters if you've got more power on the board and they won't hit you in the face for lethal. I guess this card is a good example of NWO.

wow that goblin kkk what a joke
but seriouly it can be good in some control deck
making your op attack when you have a good board presence to either kill some blockers or creatures that can be probematic and also giving a passage to your arm
Red and Black have always been able to force the attack, though red tends to the "everyone attacks" scheme while black focuses on the singular attack. This is definitely a very red card. I can see it being useful in either a defensive deck or as an earlier cast guy with something very nasty coming in on t3/4 from the aggro player. While not horribly good, it's not the worst red card I have ever seen.

Your opponent hits you with everything he can. Now he can't block while you hit HIM with everything you can. It's basically "T: Let's see who dies first."

Its not so much for the defensive, but for the offensive. It forces your opponent to tap their blockers for your alpha strike. Helps to take out utility creatures as well.

Too bad it doesn't do anything to creatures your opponents cast after their attack phase, or non-hasty creatures in general.

Indeed. Taunt effects have been *mostly* green though.
Usually, green has the must block/be blocked type effects, red gets the everyone in the (lava?) pool effects, and black and blue get the single target come at me bros.
I'd say there's something disturbing about the non-foil promo being a common rather than being an uncommon... WotC downgrading promos again... how can this be good?

The Diplomats are pretty nice for limited and that art works perfectly for the full art frame.

It should have.
I'm getting really really annoyed at things like Goblin Battle Jester.
We know goblins have no class, but they at least have a class.
Answer: Probably not, but hey, I tried :p.
Force your opponent to attack with a 2/2 into the reckoner? seems legit.
Also the Hive stirrings art looks a billion times better than regular "new" art, and actually evokes the classic Sliver look

but i think of him more as a sideboard card vs defensive creature based decks.
not sure if he will find a place in some decks, but i dont think he is bad.
