Ashling the Pilgrim was the third EDH deck I built. After a while I switched from Ashling to Godo, Bandit Warlord (who had been in the original deck) and then pulled the whole thing apart and built Tajic, Blade of the Legion. I did however end up with enough red cards to rebuild Ashling to be a reasonable multiplayer deck, if not tuned to the utmost.
There is a proliferate sub-theme going on, a fair bit of land destruction (non-basic mainly, but Wake of Destruction for forests/swamps/islands usually) and I want to increase the chaos a bit too (I want to get Grip of Chaos and Teferi's Puzzle Box in there!). I have avoided X mana costs to prevent wiffing from Possibility Storm.
Putting this up mostly as a way of keeping track of my deck changes, but also happy to discuss the deck and hear suggested additions and changes.
Removed some cards which weren't really doing much and added some more chaos. Thespian's Stage is Valakut number 3. Anger of the Gods is another weenie sweeper with upside. Sword of War and Peace adds prot red for Ashling to survive her own burn and some much needed life gain
I didn't have a reliable way of untapping Mana Vault, and Astral Cornucopia synergises well with the proliferate theme and big mana theme.
I don't like cutting lands, because I want to hit as many land drops as possible in this deck, but it seemed worth it to include a Chaos Warp I traded for.
What about Claws of Gix in addition to or instead of Phyrexia's Core? It might be a little easier to remove but if you add in Trading Post you can always return it and it doesn't require tapping and works as an outlet for your creatures (or lands if someone does land removal). Other than that looks beautiful and I'm definitely taking Grafted Exoskeleton for my version of this, completely forgot about that card.
I will second Trading Post. It is one of the greatest tools for mono-red, imho. It does everything we need. There's nothing like sacrificing Solemn Simulacrum with a Skullclamp on it and drawing 4 cards only to return it to your hand next turn. I use it a soft lockout with Glacial Chasm, Buried Ruin and Crucible of Worlds, which also lets you win with Grafted Exoskeleton because all the damage is prevented.
I will also say this: Be careful with things that prevent Ashling from killing herself. I have found it to be one of her greatest strengths. Why? It's very hard to put her into the deck

I really should get a Blasphemous Act for this deck. Also want to get a Stigma Lasher to counteract life gain decks. Might even add a Rogue's Passage.

I'm also keen to try out Trading Post when I get my hands on one.
Grafted Exoskeleton can end games quickly, and sometimes it will let Ashling be a suicide bomber, taking out everyone at once!
